Non-Sabbath Importance: Lessons from 14 Nisan

Pesach/Passover/Death, Burial and Resurrection is 14 Nisan.

Two Morrows: Nisan 16 to Sivan 6 equals 50 days exactly

Yeshua can never break a Sabbath or he could not be The Messiach.

14 Nisan is never a Sabbath. It is a ‘marker’ to remember order. Seder means order. We are to remember the order of coming out of Egypt. Messiah Yeshua spoke about each cup in order that he would fill up. There is order in the details.

The Israelites in Egypt on 14 Nisan were getting everything in order so they could leave. They could not leave on a Sabbath. Therefore, we know they did not leave Egypt on Day 7 nor a Day 14. Adam was created on Creation Day 6 and then Sabbath was called as a day of fellowship.

Chanoah was taken from Adam’s bone on Day 13 to fellowship on Day 14.

The moon is in it’s full brightness in the middle of the 28-29 day-cycle. 14, 15, 16. The Heaven’s declare the glory of God. They give witness to The Lord’s festivals.

The Egyptians would never be the same because of 14 Nisan.

The Seder is marked by a ‘NON-Sabbath’ day. Sabbath represents God which is light. Men work for six days and then the day representing God comes and is seen as light. Even our earth came out of a dark void and into light. This is the first key to why the Hebrews begin their day at dusk and not at dawn.

Our Savior had to first face the darkness of our world so the pattern of light being next is seen. Dark comes first so light can be seen. The darker the matter, the brighter the light-speck can be seen.

The moon is in full light on 14 Nisan. Once 14, 15, 16 Nisan complete we head back into darkness. How do you come out of darkness? You spend time in communication with God.

In Mosch’s new Month One, Day 14 (14 Nisan) can never be a Sabbath. The Israelite’s had alot of work to do in packing up their households and asking the Egyptians for their items of gold and silver. The Hebrews certainly did not have such items. Surely Pharaoh’s Palace was emptied, too. His brightness now returned to darkness. We all must start in the dark.

14 Nisan is always a work day. It was a lot of work killing lambs you had fallen in love with for four days. The Seed for looked for over 4000 years from Adam. We eat as one family in communion commemorating Yeshua’s work. And, he worked for forty more days after his 17 Nisan resurrection. YHWH’s kings usually ruled 40 years each.

14 Nisan Yeshua did not rest. He ordained himself to be beaten. He saw to it that he was striped of all clothing so as to stand naked before the world. It was a full moon for all to see. The moon saw The Son’s blood drained out of him.

God’s lamb Yeshua was The Messiach. No one could identify him he was so maligned. The sign above his head declared, “King of the Jews.” It was written in three languages so All The World could be saved.

14 Nisan – Pesach – a marked NON-Sabbath day. Lambs slain this day.

The Passover

Lev 23:4  ‘These are the appointed times of יהוה, set-apart gatherings which you are to proclaim at their appointed times.

Lev 23:5  ‘In the first new moon, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, between the evenings, is the Pěsaḥa to יהוה.

(Passover is a festival, but not a sabbath day.)

Unleavened Bread

Lev 23:6  ‘And on the fifteenth day of this new moon is the Festival of Matzotb to יהוה – seven days you eat unleavened bread.

Month One Days: 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 Festival Unleavened Bread/ Matzot.

On Nisan 15 we do NO servile work… don’t work your regular job. It is Day 2 of Pesach.

This ‘Day Two’ is called out to be an ‘appointed time’ of no work. Day Two is a High Sabbath not a weekly sabbath. We see this also at The Feast of Tabernacles in the fall. These sabbaths occur in the middle of the months. They occur in the spring and the fall.

Day One is set apart as well as the last day. Day one of Tabernacles is Tishrei 15. It’s called to be set apart. Most call it a High Sabbath. Day Seven of Tabernacles is Tishrei 21. It too is called a high Sabbath.

The first day of First Fruits is 15 Nisan

Lev 23:7  ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.

Lev 23:8  ‘And you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.’ ”

Therefore, 15 Nisan and 21 Nisan are Sabbaths… no servile work. 15 Tishrei and 21 Tishrei function the same…no servile work. They are weeks for us to come together in harmony under the full moon for all the world to see. We are called to come together three times to bring offerings. Pesach Week, Shavuot Week, Tabernacles Week.

In reality all of these festivals connect. We are thankful for the future harvest that happens over the next 49 days celebrated on Day 50. Fifty shows us a jubilee of time.

This is not hard to understand. There is nothing rabbinical about this. These are decrees from God. Leviticus 23 gives us the detail. If we miss this, we miss the Ascension at 40 days and we miss the Torah and Holy Spirit given on Day 50.

Do you want to miss our Messiach’s return? Of course, you don’t. What we want to do is be a first-fruit. We want to be in the wheat grouping that is harvested by the angels. Wheat is only planted once. It does not come up year after year as many other plants do. The tares are sown in with the wheat. When the wheat is ripe it is white. When the fields are white, the angels harvest.

You, my dear friend, were planted as a wheat. You were born only one time. You will not come back for second chances. You get one chance to turn white like the rest of the wheat that will be harvested but one time.

Yeshua Jesus was The Seed planted in a new cave after dying a miserable crushing. He took the man on the cross with him to Paradise, But before that he took him to what is known as Abraham’s bosom. All the old patriarchs for 4000 years were now free. This happened from 14 Nisan to 18 Nisan. Yeshua’s resurrection was not complete until He presented his blood sacrifice on Heaven’s altar. He could not have anyone of this world even touch him as he could not be contaminated by any spirit here. Once he presented his blood in Heaven he could return to earth and people touch him. The beheld his feet and his hands.

When a young child I was told Jonah’s fish story was just that…a big fish story..a lie. I was told that all the stories in the Old Testament were just stories that had no truth to them. The Catholic religion failed many in not having the answer to bible questions. We were not to read mass in English until my upper grade school years. I am soon 75 years old. Once I found The Bible to be true, I wanted to read every page and connect all the dots I had missed. Yes, I fell in love with God when understanding how He works.

Today in class our teacher Duane reminded us that the only sign that would be given was the Sign of Jonah. Who said that? Jesus… Yeshua is his Hebrew name. Today, I made the visual connection of my religious upbringing of being told Jonah was a lie. And, now right from the mouth of Yeshua, The Big Fish story was confirmed true.

Yeshua completes the Jonah story by holding back his appearing until after three full days. 14 Nisan he dies at 3:00 pm. Taken down from the wood and carried to a rich man’s new grave by dusk. 15, 16, 17 Nisan makes three full 24-hour cycles. Month One Day Eighteen reveals new beginnings. The number eight show us Chai, life. They could not touch him until later on 18 Nisan.

Yeshua’s soul actually went to meet the souls that were held captive from the days of creation. The thief believed Yeshua was the only begotten son of God. He would bear witness to Abraham’s Bosom that was shrunk. Scripture tells us that Hades is ever expanding. This area may end up in the universe where darkness is such that no one has seen.

A multitude of captives walked the earth after 17 Nisan with Yeshua being the first-fruit. We will stand for acceptance at our personal harvest. The harvest was the day after the wave offering. You as a priest hold up your hands to wave in your acceptance. Mosch stood with his hands held high saving the people in their battles. The thief on the cross understood that Yeshua was God in the flesh.

We join after resting in YHWH. Resting in YHWH can be seen as Sabbath. We understand the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. The Father has always desired relationship over religion. Sabbath is part of The Torah, God’s statutes forever.

Within the festivals are times of personal relationship.

Feast of Firstfruits: Month One 15-22 Nissan

15 Nisan – A sabbath of personal relationship with YHWH

22 Nisan – A sabbath of personal relationship with YHWH

Lev 23:9  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 23:10  “Speak to the children of Isra’el, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest.

Lev 23:11  ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before יהוה, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it.

This is plain and simple. It is the day after First Fruit. First-fruit is the new Sabbath issued by Mosch. It is a new Month One with many other firsts. Mosch will now point to The Living Torah. The Seat of Mosch is also sat on by Yeshua Jesus. Mosch pointed to it and Yeshua proved He was Messiah by it.

So what day don’t you want to miss? The First-fruit sabbath is key to understand. It recognized our Savior Yeshua as the first human to self-resurrect. He was without sin so it is also called Unleavened Bread and has a 7-day count.

They were counting the days until Mosch would return to them. He was gone 40 days and 40 nights when the twelve spied out the giants in Gaza. He was gone 40 days and 40 nights and found ‘the golden calf’. He was gone another 40 days and 40 nights a third time when asking for Atonement for them. He returns on Month Seven Day Ten known as Tishrei 10 Yom Kippur. This is the only day called upon by YHWH for them to fast. It is a day that they manipulate the calender at Shavuot so YK does not land on a Sabbath. Yet, if Yom Kippur does land on a Sabbath we honor Yom Kippur and fast. YHWH commanded the Sabbath but he also commanded the Yom Kippur Fast.

Yom Kippur is about repentance. Individuals should repent of any sins from the last year that could be held against you. Yeshua’s blood covers the penalty for sin, but we must confess sin as we are broken people. We can not confess sin without repenting and turning away from it. Repentance has action to it.

We are in a season on YHWH’s calendar of return. He can return or we return to Him. He said, “I shall return just as I left.” We know it’s not in a hidden room to look for him, but in the air. And, if He left on Day 40 of Count of Omer then these similar events could be ready on Day 40 of the Count of Omer. This is why it is so serious to get this timing correct. The Count of the Omer varies with different viewpoints. My view of Day 40 is that it occurs on May 22, 23 ish 2025. It is Erev Sabbath Behar/Bechukotai (On the Mount) Leviticus 25:1-26:2
