October 12, 2024: Fast or No Fast is the 6000th-year million-dollar question.

‘The fast days of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months are to become times of joy,

Question. “Is the bridegroom Jesus standing on earth today?” NO!

Mark_2:19  Yeshua answered them, “Can wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is still with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, fasting is out of the question.

Is Jesus coming again? Yes! When He comes fasts will turn to joy. The Seventh Month fast, known as The Lord’s Fast, is Yom Kippur.

Mark_2:20  But the time will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them; and when that day comes, they will fast.

Yeshua Jesus did leave this earth. When he walked the earth, His Kingdom was being walked out by him. He could ONLY walk in what The Father told him. They were one in thought. They agreed that what was ordained in Heaven was to come to earth. No one can walk out complete Torah but Yeshua who is God in the flesh.

When Yeshua left the earth, Heaven’s Kingdom went with him. He left the earth on Day 40 of the Counting of the Omer. He left so The Comforter could come upon those with circumcised hearts. The Holy Spirit entered flesh on Day 50 (a jubilee number) of the Counting of the Omer. This Ruach Spirit set people free.

Yom Kippur – To fast on it or not to fast on it is the six million dollar question at the year 5785 (2024). Do we have signs that indicate ‘repentance’ right now on our earth? Oh my, oh my, oh my… yes we do!

Leviticus 16:29, 23:27 each reference Yom Kippur. Isaiah 58:4 confirms the affliction as a fast, the one day fast, Yom Kippur. Isaiah is telling them that God is not accepting their half hearten effort in this fast.

“On a day like today, fasting like yours will not make your voice heard on high.”

Yom Kippur is a Sabbath. Yom Kippur is The Fast. Yom Kippur is the ONLY Sabbath set apart by fasting.

Yom Kippur portrays a revelation of ‘The Lord’s Day’ in the end of days. Yom Kippur is a required change agent.

Zechariah 8:19  “Adonai-Tzva’ot says, ‘The fast days of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months are to become times of joy, gladness and cheer for the house of Y’hudah. Therefore, love truth and peace.’ 

Zechariah 8:20  “Adonai-Tzva’ot says, ‘In the future, peoples and inhabitants of many cities will come; 

Zechariah describes Yom Kippur when stating ‘seventh’ month. There is no other fast in Month Seven (Tishrei).

Even Isaiah reprimands them for their rebellion.

Isaiah 36:5  I say: do mere words constitute strategy and strength for battle? In whom, then, are you trusting when you rebel against me like this? 

Mere words and strategy are worthless unless action happens. And, when can action happen? On Yom Kippur and the other ‘fast’ days. Yom Kippur is God-ordained. It is God’s ONLY festival without food. Yes, fasting is part of affliction. It is a Day of Affliction. It is the ONLY Sabbath with affliction attached to it. Each of the Lord’s festivals have Sabbath attached. The Yom Kippur feast sits in the very middle of the seven. The Good News of God coming in the flesh is declared in the spring. He is sinless signaled as ‘unleavened bread’. Pesach (Passover) week enhances into 50 days with the theme of The Spirit coming at Shavuot.

The fall comes after many months of repentance and three fasts. Month Four Fast of Tammuz 17 and Month Five The Fast of Av 9. These two fasts were called for by the Hebrews and not Elohim. They want to remember their golden idols worship. They want to remember when they lost The Temple several times because of doing things their own way. The Month Seven Fast is owned by YHWH. Just like Day Seven…He owns it.

Month Seven is owned by YHWH in announcing the New Year with Trumpets. We will hear HEaven’s Trumpets when YHWH is ready for it. It will announce The Bride is ready for the Groom to come. Yom Teruah is owned by YHWH. He has had it remembered since Mosch to continue the announcing of kings with trumpets in the fall. It is a two-day festival as no one knows what day The King will arrive. No one knows when they’ll spot the sliver of the moon, so it is a two day celebration. It is also called Rosh Hoshanna, heading up the calendar in years. The Hebrew calendar just changed from 5784 to 5785. (Yet, even Israel will agree that this calendar is off in years by about 210 years. Thus the thinking is that it is really year 5995. And when you calculate days from Adam it can get pushed forward even more. Now we have reason to watch Israel even more. She is our time piece to The Messiach.

Day Seven is the Millennial Kingdom Age.

0 to 1000 is Day One

1001 to 2000 is Day Two

2001 to 3000 is Day Three

3001 to 4000 is Day Four

4001 to 5000 is Day Five

5001 to 6000 is Day Six

6001 to 7000 is Day Seven

Judgment is released upon the earth to find repentant hearts under the name of fasting (Yom Kippur).

When people argue with this fast they do NOT understand diagramming. It is laid out in a simple format for all the earth to attach to.

The Feast of Tabernacles will start five days later. The Bridegroom is preparing to return according to the circumcised hearts witnessed by even The Fast.

People will stay with the concubines tribes on Mt. Ebel or they will chose Gerazim who has the original wives children, Leah and Rachel. Yes, we are talking about choosing blessing or cursing.

At the ‘ingathering’ of circumcised tribes hearts, it closes with two more festivals. It is called Day Eight or Shemini Atzeret. It is 22 Tishrei and Day Eight. The number two connects to The Son of God, House, Beginning. Eight means LIFE. On the last day of The Feast of the Ingathering people are united in unity to begin in new LIFE. It was on Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah that the Palestinians knew would be their day of attack to rape, behead, burn and abduct for even more torture.

The Gazans gave Israel their ‘new beginning’ (22) they desired according to their false god allah. We best face up to standing against this false god and calling it out by it’s demonic name.

What is the last festival? Simchat Torah which can be blended into Day Eight (Shimi Atzeret) of the Succot Ingathering festival.

Seven days of Succot and then 22 Tishrei, Day Eight closed it. Succot is Eight days long showing us the 8000^th year our earth will reach to see the final Heaven’s open and where New Eternal Life begins.

Simchat Torah means to Rejoice in Torah. YHWH’s instructions were at the beginning and will remain into the end…which is really the new beginning of what is called New Heaven and New Earth.

Simchot Torah is Day Nine. It represents eternity.

What were the people doing at the 2023 Festival when Hamas came for them? Day Eight was October 7, 2024. It was also 22 Tishrei 5784. They were staying up all night to celebrate God marrying them. They were to remember The Wedding Banquet (Day 8). And they were ‘rejoicing’ in the Torah that we are to celebrate every day of our lives.

Simchat Torah shows us Day 9 that represents forever. The youthful danced while the elderly may have studied all night. The military thought it was safe. Many had their prayer books in their pockets.

2023 saw the organized left deceiving the people of Israel causing uprising against Israel’s government. America and Israel have both impeached their presidents. Both countries have had burning riots in their towns. Hirelings go around the earth trying to change governments to their agenda. You must wake up and smell the fires if you haven’t yet.

By Yom Kippur 2023 the enemy knew that Israel was ripe for an attack. Israel had taken the bate and divided itself. It was a time of divided people and at times they were without a government.

The year 2023 witnessed chaos in Israel. 2024 will known as The Year of Miracles. The 70 Nations are making their own decisions about righteousness. Many Islamic nations hide behind America and Israel. They expect good oil prices in exchange for munitions against Iran and it’s proxies.

Islam is tied to it’s mother’s skirt. It has been waiting for Mother Persia (Iran) to act. When she lifted her skirt her children are expected to return to it’s safety like a mother hen.

The United Arab Emerites wavered and left the arms of the Abrahamic Accord that fatal weekend of being tested by Mother Iran. On Sabbath April 13, 2024, the Emerites decided to support Iran just in case she won and she turned war upon their heads. Israel’s Miracle War would bring havoc on these wavering oil-rich Arabs.

Three days later, on America’s tax day April 15, 2024, one-third of the cities (Emerites) were underwater from clouds they saw coming at them for SIX days. People sat up on their roofs for days and weeks with their car roofs under water. They had not built their sewers properly since they live in the desert. Yet 80 percent of the people in Dubai are workers or vacationers. Yet their beautiful buildings have suffered greatly as YHWH judged one-third of their cities.

Brazilians allowed Pro-Palestine rally’s and found only one-third of their huge country not under flooding for weeks.

Our world is looking on in amazement witnessing the Living God keeping Israel. Our world is being judged at the same time Israel is being lifted up.

Judgment keeps coming to American cities and we just keep saying, “We will build again.” Some cities after three hurricanes are saying they will finally just shut the city down.

Russia floods, the eastern blocks, fire, volcanoes, water everywhere on our earth. Armageddon type HURRICANES don’t let up.

God is giving birth pains revealing modern day leprosy. Lies are being uncovered and people are petrified of being persecuted for their lies. The offenders are making up false convictions and trying to send others to jail before they themselves are found to be the guilty party. EVIL speech is recognized as The Swamp.

Tzara’at is likened to mold that even clings to walls and leather. Tzara’at was caused by an evil tongue in certain time periods in Israel’s history. It was exclusive to Israel. Today evil speech can bring judgment but not in the form of Hansen’s disease.

April 13, 2024 – Sabbath Tazria (she will conceive) Leviticus 12:1-13:19, 2 Kings 7:3-20, Luke 2:22-35, Mark 1:35-45:

IRAN sent 350 projectiles toward Israel with a ninety-nine percent FAILURE rate. Not ONE Israeli was killed. Sadly, one Bedouin girl was injured as she was not able to shelter. She was hit by falling missile debris. IRAN does not care if any Shiite, Sunnis, Bedouin, Palestinian, Arab, Lebanese, Jew or any human gets hurt. All of this is because of following a god that is dead. All ah is a false god that has never spoken to anyone.

The one Living God is the Heads of Hosts. YHWH is the head of armies. They shield and deflect harm against Abraham’s children via Isaac.

Days of Remission – 28, 29 Elul – Last two days 5784. Also closed out Shemittah cycle one which was the jubilee year. (It is not the Shemittah year 7 that is the jubilee but the next year which is year one.)

October 1, 2024 – 28 Elul – Creation Day Four, 181 BASSISTIC missiles from The Land of Persia/IRAN. 181 monstrous missiles MISS AGAIN! It is the ‘second’ try and YHWH says ‘No’ again to those following Haman’s family.

Iran’s missiles came hundreds of miles arriving to Israel airspace in just 26 minutes. Israel alerted the United States. No one alerted Israel. The U.S. Only downed a dozen (perhaps) of the 181 ballistic missiles.

Israel’s Air Defense systems acted alone casting off the remainder that would harm populations. The Iron Dome calculates human harm and deflects those missiles away from communities. So some missiles do land in the outskirts.

October 2, 2024 – 29 Elul – Last Day of Remission for the year 5784. It is the last day before the Civil calendar changes to the new year 5785. Johnathan Cahn teaches more on the days of remission.

Instead of IRAN repenting, we saw the evil Haman’s strike back from the same location of Persia (Iran). History is repeating itself but on a world scale unseen of before. October 1 was a historic event to have that many ballistic missiles sent from so far. And historic that it never killed one Israeli. It killed their own relative wanting to be called a Philistine (Palestinian).

Evil Haman found his way into the King Azarhaus’s court. He was the offspring of Amalek. In Iran and in Israel we find Haman types finding their way into our governments.

King Sh’ual was specifically told to kill King Amalek. He did not kill him and even kept the best sheep, goats and herds after slaughtering the people. These Ameleks keep popping up in history and we have to keep removing them. And we do NOT take their herds and flocks as all our wealth is to be given to us by God.

YHWH will move the hearts of our enemies bringing their goods to us. We do NOT take it, but we can receive.

God does not want any offering that is ‘common’. There is nothing special about evil people nor their possessions. When people have used something for another purpose it is now common. What we offer to God is to be special. Fasting is personal and special with the right heart. Do not make it Common thinking that if you fast it will bring favor. No… it’s always with a circumcised heart that we bring any offering with sincere prayer.

October 12, 2024 – 10 Tishrei – Yom Kippur – The Fast. It is the last day possible for nations to repent between themselves. Nations should reconcile to walk in peace the next year. People have been repenting by Rosh Hoshanna and now The Nations have one final chance before they close their fates for the year.

Yom Kippur – 2024 – The Fast – IRAN cast missiles from Lebanon through it’s proxy Hezbollah early to ruin Israel’s Day of Fast. The Fast found IRAN guilty.

Yom Kippur’s fast brings rejoicing in all things as God knows we TRUST his ways for this earth. It is a day that will be turned to joy. There are four fasts minimum that Jewish place on themselves. But, The Fast is called out by God. It is NOT optional. It is a time the entire should be repenting for their sins against God. In this repentance we are accepting there is a God and He controls all things. We trust in His decisions as change happens to bring a better change.

A respected leader and previous soldier has been found wonting in my eyes. He just taught at Yom Kippur on world-wide broadcasting Yom Kippur is NOT a day of fasting. I listened to his speech and found nothing to prove it was not a day of fast. He talked about Yom Kippur but I could not tell you what proof he had. And he also taught falsely that eating kosher is not for the Gentiles. I am finding that these soldier teachers are doing whatever they can to keep Gentles from wearing their hats and wanting to qualify to carrying a Torah scroll around the room. Gentiles are found to be so in love with The Torah and wanting to love Israel’s ways that they are not ready for us. They are fighting a war and trying to find the balance of keeping Gentiles at a distance in all things. Even their wars are to be their wars and I agree with that. God’s goal is to show us miracles and we see them when all odds seem dim.

When you neutralize one thing it can lead to neutralizing many things. Yet, when it comes to The Torah (God’s festivals) they are for even the stranger as a permanent ordinance. Israel must be careful not be replace God’s Kingdom with the IDF Kingdom. All of God’s Kingdom for all mankind is happening soon.

The Fast Sabbath is NOT about joy. There will only be joy on this earth when Kingdom rule is back. Kingdom rule sees Yeshua on the earth. If these false prophets do not have Yeshua coming back on the earth, then The Kingdom is not their goal. Yeshua Jesus told us that He was The Kingdom.

In 1973 on Yom Kippur – 10 Tishrei – Israel was given no warning. Israel’s Prime Minister Golda Meir was under serious cancer treatment. Her physical health was compromised. Against many odds she finally got in personal touch with our United States President Richard Nixon. He instructed our ambassador Kissinger to fly to Israel. He did not like flying during the war. He arrived weeks later and begrudgingly. He never supported Golda and Israel being a nation. He was instructed again and again to fly back and hear Golda. She flew out to speak to our Congress. There would be no help come from the United States. There would to be no U.S. troops on Israeli soil. But finally there could be supplies sent to help them.

1948 Miracle War – May – The day Harry S Truman recognized Israel as a nation she was attacked on all sides. Against All Odds she overcame. She did not even have an Air Force, Navy or Army.

Britain made available some old airplanes if any Jews wanted to come get them. This small fleet of volunteers from World War II Jewish veterans stopped the nation from annilation. The Lord of Hosts took charge swooping down to once again establish His covenant between Abraham, Isaac and Ya’cov. The battles rage over God’s land designated for Israel. Israel means to ‘struggle with God’. They are to struggle with God in claiming the correct borders.

Wars and rumors of more wars still bear down on Israel. Before she was a nation SIX million were carried out of their businesses and homes to the slaughter by being marched to trains. They were marched out to dig their own graves. They then stood next the monstrous trench and were shot falling into that football field size graveyard.

They were put in their own FAST for SEVEN years. From 1938 to 1945 Americans were being propaganzied by Ford Motor who was commended by Hitler for their great war effort in making their tanks and automobiles. Wow..and so now we wonder why Michigan is desolate and broken? What is the spiritual message?

Americans didn’t notice their communist Japanese workers who helped lay railroads either. Japanese and Russia were ready to eat America up then and possibly unite again now.

Many of our quote (friends) only come by the way of strength. Japan stopped bombing because of two atomic bombs landing on them. In 2023 Japan has now rescinded their agreement that they will no longer join outside forces to attack other countries. I’d say Russia and China are putting them and other countries in their back pockets right now.

The spirit realm is a battleground that we don’t understand. Yet, we know we can TRUST the ways of The LORD of Hosts. Isra’el is being attacked on 7 sides…America being one of them. Where is their trust?

What is in Heaven is on earth. It is a battle for the human mind just as we saw The Deceiver get into Adam and Chanoah minds first.

When Yom Kippur came only one man was able to enter the Tabernacle beyond The Veil. We will have only one God-man re-enter earth’s atmosphere. The Veil of Heaven will be torn just as the veil at The Temple was wrent when Yeshua Jesus died on that piece of wood outside the gates of The Great City.

The Scriptures being read on Yom Kippur include the story of Jonah. Jonah knew God was powerful. Why was he running from obeying God? Did he hate the people of Nineveh? Why did he not fast seeking more insight from God? Jonah came from a family that took in Elijah and gave him a place to stay. Her kindness gave her a son of which later died. The study of her lineage shows us that this is that boy, Jonah. It is not that he did not believe in miracles because his being born was a miracle. His dying and coming back to life was a miracle. Yes, He did believe there was a God. In fact, he knew God could save these 120,000 people in Nineveh. That was Jonah’s problem. He did not want to see them live..

We live today with a huge number of people who do not want to see a huge number of people live. The world of Islam is taught to hate Ya’cov. These two groups are seen in Jonah. He did not ask to live but when it finally came to him dying in the big fish he did admit that God reigned over all and ask ADONAI to save him. He saw shoel. He knew he did not want to live that way into eternity.

Upon being delivered he did go to Nineveh and gave them the message of repentance. They did repent. But he went back to his old way of being mad at the world. He would rather die than live. I see Islam in him going back and forth from wanting to live with the Hebrews and then changing their mind and rising up to kill them all again. They see God real through Israel’s miracles but they would still rather just check out than live.

People that have no democracy or colonizing of being part of something have no purpose in life. I was reading about this and have to agree. When Islam does not teach family value, there is no reason for them to live. They are okay about dying and going to whatever happens next.

Jonah stayed that way even after God showed him that he loved Jonah too. Should God love Jonah more than the 120,000 in Nineveh who have never experienced God? Jonah was a very disgusting person in my opinion.

Did Jonah every marry? I don’t think so. Did Jonah’s parents die? I think so. Jonah was a sad forlorn person. When we go back to the first instruction to ‘multiply’ on the earth, it is important to take this serious.

Bringing forth the family unit is key. Bonding as a family is important. To have children start their lives far away from family does not always work out for the best. Relatives that live far away find it hard to help parents. God knows that tribal living is the best.

Afghans like to live with Afghans. People who speak the same language get along better. Not every tribe on this earth wants to learn Arabic. This is the central problem between the Islamic Shiite and the Islamic Sunni. The Sunni’s want the Quran only written in Arabic and the Shiite want it in any language.

I don’t know if this article is going to solve the world’s problems, but at least we can see the problems that even Jonah faced. He was born to older parents. He died once and was brought back. Did he like where he was and was mad about it? Or, when he almost died the second time he then felt what hell was like. He was a frustrated man without a purpose..without family.

Jonah’s Fast 3 days and nights – Shows us Adonai prepared this: the Son of God in the belly of the earth for 3 days and nights.

Jonah 2:1  Adonai prepared a huge fish to swallow Yonah; and Yonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights. 

Jon 2:2  From the belly of the fish Yonah prayed to Adonai his God;

It took Jonah sitting in what seems like hell for him to repent. Many do not get to come back from their hell. 

Jon 2:3  he said, “Out of my distress I called to Adonai, and he answered me; from the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice. 

Jonah only repented after much distress! He only cared about himself as he sat for 40 days waiting to watch Nineveh burn. It did not burn because the entire city repented. I have a very close friend who thinks like this. He does not care what happens next as he is not even sure God exists. He does not understand God’s ways and why people are allowed to die. People dying makes God mean he says. Jonah wanted them all to die. Did the people of Nineveh kill his family? Some say yes, and some say no. But what Scripture does say is that many will see miracles and yet not believe. This was Jonah. He saw God very real, but rejected God…hmm… until he went the other direction seeing hell.

Now Jonah must wonder how he still can hate his situation and yet return to LIGHT. Yes, Jonah could not have it both ways. There are no murderers in The Kingdom. Islamic jihadists will not arrive to pearly gates but to burning ones.

Mosch and Jonah align each other in their 40 days and 40 night experiences. Fasting is part of their experiences as they show up at The Day of Judgment known as Yom Kippur.

The book of Jonah could be called Nineveh. They fasted and repented in sack cloth. They did turn from their idolatrous ways. They believed Jonah’s message. They had heard of his troubles being swallowed up. They saw his appearance of being covered with slime from trying to be digested by a sea creature for three days.

Jonah wanted to die several times. Did Jonah fast? Yes, in the whale. Did Nineveh fast? Yes, for forty days. Both of these fasting experiences brought repentance. When we finally quit worrying about or stomach or other things like television programs, we can focus on spiritual importance.

Jonah already had shade over when YHWH’s gourd covered him too. YHWH sent a worm to destroy it. Jonah took the shade for granted. And yet just crabbed again complaining about everything. How do we know he never trusted God? He would never humble himself. I think we could look at him as a ‘spoiled’ child who got everything he wanted in life. His mother was a kind person but she too complained for even being given a child if he was just going to die on her. Elijah was involved in the prayer to YHWH to give her a child. Perhaps we fail to be thankful if what is given is given just for a short time. Things die so then does our trust in God then die?

Jonah is a man that had died earlier and brought back to life. Yes, the big fish was Jonah’s second ‘near death’ experience. Scripture tells us who this woman was and it tells us who Jonah’s family was. Jonah is that son that was given to the couple as a thank you gift. He was a gift and yet this son did nothing to thankful for even being born. Oh that he had been born was probably his complaint.

At Yom Kippur we review our life. What has happened in the last year? Jonah got to sit there for forty days and night to review his life. Did he ever say thank you for the plant shading him? No! Never thankful for being born.

Forty days of repentance happened three times with Moses. He fasted a total of 120 days while going up and down Mount Sinai in Arabia.

In the Spring YHWH has The Tribes ready to cross over into The Promised Land spoken to Abraham. The Land Promise was confirmed to Isaac and again confirmed to his son Ya’cov, named Isra’el.

Three of The Patriarchs had The Land confirmed to them. Joseph was not involved in The Land promise. He shows us the promise of a Savior rising up as king after first suffering. Yet, Joseph had his bones carried into The Land of Promise. It was this 230-year commitment that kept every generation understanding this was NOT their promised land. It would be a total of 430 years from Isaac being born that they would walk into The Land still being fought over today. We are seeing the Bookend of this promise. It is an incredible 7000-year program played out like on a chess board.

Joseph’s bones do NOT stay in Egypt. Today, they still try to remove his bones that sit between the mountains that announced The Blessings and The Cursing.

Scriptures gives us the names of The Tribes who went their own way listed on the Mountain of Cursing. This does not mean that this mountain has a curse on it. This does not mean that they are ‘cursed’ tribes. But they are to be remembered for their disobedience to their parents.

The Tribes that were not involved with putting Joseph in a cistern are the tribes listed on Mt Gerazim of Blessing. Gershon and Gerazim have a similar root word. Mosch had a son named Gershon. His mother was a Moabite. Her father was a priest in Moab. The Moabites come from one of Lot’s daughters. We see YHWH honoring family. The tribes even lived in the area called Gershon while in Egypt.

We also see the evil prophet Balaam telling King Little Bird (Balek) how to get rid of the Israelite’s. If he could not curse what YHWH has blessed, then they could try to assimilate into their bloodline to dissolve it. This type of fornication is even how the Moabites came into existence. Lot’s daughter’s looked around to see FIVE cities burning and remembered Noach’s prediction that the next time God would burn up the earth…. not by water but by fire.

TRUST – Humble – Repent – Lay your life down – These are action words.

Today, we see the ‘ancients’ lives being looked at as polygamists. In actuality, Abraham had two wives and at separate times. When Sarah died at age 129, Abraham took Keturah as a WIFE. By the time Abraham died at age 175, he could sit 100 children (grand and great) on his lap is how they say it.

Abraham left his father’s house at age 75. Now his great great etc. are now 75+1 years as a nation. Israel seems to be having problems like Abraham at age 76 had. The nations around him were filling up his wells. Today The Nations still want Israel’s wells. And, he churches can’t support her because they believe they are Israel. What do the all Mormon Tabernacles do with all the money they keep inheriting to build these structures? The real ISRAEL is 76 years old and I say that these organizations are without excuse. Mormon, Seventh Day, Universal (Catholics) are a few that call themselves ISRAEL. These entities will be destroyed because there is only One God and One Israel. Who is at fault for their closure? Replacement Theology is responsible. Men make up stories of angels talking to them. Then they force followers to tithe for their good purpose of building mosques and temples.

Who is Israel?

We all can call ourselves Israel because it means, ‘to struggle with God’. It is the name given to Ya’cov when he struggled with God’s angel during the entire night. He wanted to know the angels name. The answer he got was his new name. Israel. One who struggled with God so you will continue to struggle for my purposes with me.

We are Israel when we struggle for God’s ways.

God’s Ways: One God – have no other gods. (Get rid of goddess Diane at the Olympics. She is just one that is plainly seen active on the earth. Santa is a god to us and replaces God giving us all that we need.)

I started this article because yesterday I met with a group who honor Yom Kippur and found someone teaching that fasting was not for Yom Kippur. In fact, then I came home to listen to Amir Tsarfati speak on why it was not for today.

We are witnessing Israeli soldiers who are stepping outside their expertise. I witnessed and challenged back a man who calls himself a ‘geek’. He says that he needs to know the why of everything. I look at him as speaking before he really understands the ‘realm’ he just walked into.

The church writes the ‘commentaries’ and therefore cause many to fall away.

The Bible is not a quick study and hanging our hat on commentary has taken us down Deception Road.

Whose comments are you following? What dictionary influences you? Is it influenced by a priest who pushes a pope as your hope? Is the commentary written by men who followed Constantine? Is the commentary written by Jewish men who want the Gentile to stay out of their business?

Instead of commentary we can look to pattern. Since God is unchanging, we know His consistency can be counted on.

Question? Does God tell us to fast? Did Christ fast? When did He fast?

Did Jesus fast at age 13? Who fed him while he chose to do his father’s work for three days? Did he fast? His father’s business was spiritual. This young man could have sat in The Temple earlier had they let him. At an early age he was found to be very interesting in his thoughts about God’s word. His dialogue with them was incredible. It is very elementary to realize that every Hebrew was learning Torah in Israel. And when you came into Jerusalem you could find more mature scholars to talk to. Every boy was expected to find a rabbi and follow them around. That is why Yeshua Jesus called his group to come with him. He was their teacher or Rabbi. In fact, he wore the robes of a Pharisee. Pharisees seem evil to us today because the dictionary made a commentary to that fact. But the truth is that there are over 800 sects of teachers called Saducees, Pharisees and other types of teachers. Jerusalem would have been the central hub for learning about God. To be a Pharisee was a compliment and not a deficient as Christians think today. It is when any of these sects were challenged by Yeshua Jesus keeping things simple… they wanted to get rid of him.

ELEMENTARY dear Watson… Elementary!

Yes, there is series right now showing with Sherlock Holmes son, Sherlock. He became addicted to a drug and is now coming clean. We see how he can hypnotize himself in his ‘therapy class’ to block them out. We can be the same way with God when we tune out the very basic ‘elements’ of the lives of people in the Bible we are to learn from.

Judas was a lost man even though he walked with Jesus.

Okay, let’s get back to learning about Yom Kippur.

Let us ask ourselves when we see fasting in The Bible.

Jesus definitely fasted to start his ministry. His friend John announced Yeshua’s arrival and now John had to go away so the focus could be on killing Yeshua perfectly on time to the third hour.

Mosch definitely fasted to GET THEM HOME again.

Instructions – Shav’uot to 17 Tammuz

Golden Calf – 17 Tammuz to 9 Av

Yom Kippur – 29 Elul to 10 Tishrei

Mosch also fasted when he told them to cross into the land and they would not go. He fasted 40 days while they were gone.

Did Esther fast? Yes, and this scene plays out when they are trying to come back after 70 years in the nations, (Babylon). So, let’s visit Isaiah 58 written before Esther. Isaiah 58 is written before Ezra calls for a fast to bring them back in the 71^st year to help build Jerusalem’s walls.

Ezra called for a fast in the rainy spring season. He weeps as the young people do not even know what the walls looked like. Israel has been gone 71 years and the old men are needed to teach the young. He is frustrated that they do not want to leave Babylon. Today’s Jews are doing the same. They do not want to leave America, Hawaii, France or Europe etc. Now God has allowed them to be pushed home even being in fear for their lives. The City of Peace is to have righteous ruling going out from it. Jews do need to RETURN now!

Isaiah is at the time of Jeremiah. They are prophets preaching repentance to the people. Jeremiah says there is no hope and just go ahead to Babylon where you’ll be safe for the 70 years.

Pastor Mark Biltz marks the fast of Yom Kippur with several people… Jonah and Nineveh being one of them. It happens Month Seven Day Ten for Nineveh.

Now I’ll copy and paste Scriptures that are attached to Yom Kippur. As you read these passages, think about our world today. What was shocking to the world on October 12, 2024? Was it happening because the world knew to fast on The Fast? Yes! Spiritual warfare comes from fasting. In Lebanon Israeli soldiers cast up the Israel flag on a mountain claiming that hill. That had not happened for 24 years. Yes, Yom Kippur 2024 was shocking.

ONCE A YEAR

On Month 7 Day 10

Tishrei 10

Day of Affliction! A Sabbath complete rest!

Leviticus 16:29  “It is to be a permanent regulation for you that on the tenth day of the seventh month you are to deny yourselves and not do any kind of work, both the citizen and the foreigner living with you. 

Leviticus 16:30  For on this day, atonement will be made for you to purify you; you will be clean before Adonai from all your sins. 

Lev 16:31  It is a Shabbat of complete rest for you, and you are to deny yourselves. “This is a permanent regulation. 

Lev 16:32  The Cohen anointed and consecrated to be Cohen in his father’s place will make the atonement; he will put on the linen garments, the holy garments; 

Lev 16:33  he will make atonement for the Especially Holy Place; he will make atonement for the tent of meeting and the altar; and he will make atonement for the cohanim and for all the people of the community. 

Lev 16:34  This is a permanent regulation for you, to make atonement for the people of Isra’el because of all their sins once a year.” Moshe did as Adonai had ordered him. 

The Feast of Trumpets

Lev 23:23  Adonai said to Moshe, 

Lev 23:24  “Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘In the seventh month, the first of the month is to be for you a day of complete rest for remembering, a holy convocation announced with blasts on the shofar. 

Lev 23:25  Do not do any kind of ordinary work, and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai.’ ” 

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)

Lev 23:26  Adonai said to Moshe, 

Lev 23:27  “The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom-Kippur; you are to have a holy convocation, you are to deny (afflict) yourselves, and you are to bring an offering made by fire to Adonai. 

Lev 23:28  You are not to do any kind of work on that day, because it is Yom-Kippur, to make atonement for you before Adonai your God. 

Lev 23:29  Anyone who does not deny himself on that day is to be cut off from his people; 

What are they to deny themselves? Food? Work? Sitting in a chair? Shaving? Make your list and think about what YHWH is saying. But, afflict yourself is not taking a whip to yourself and laying stripes cutting open your flesh. We are in a crazy world when we see people carrying crosses crucifying themselves as if ‘doing what Christ did.’ Please do NOT be crazy. One Savior – One Cross – Take Christ down from the cross… it is finished.

Leviticus 23:29 – Deny yourself.

YHWH is discussing ‘fasting’. He is very unhappy with their attitude about it. Is there any other Day of Affliction YHWH asks them to do? No! There is one day that is so serious that it is marked by something very special to happen in the future. The veil will be torn and we will see HEAVEN. People will stand in awe of it. Those ‘fasting’ (afflicting) will be looking forward to it with a sense of pureness. In fasting we humble ourselves which bring the action of repentance.

Only ONE Festival is NOT about food. It is Yom Kippur. It is a Sabbath of all Sabbaths. The stock market can even drop as Jewish and non-Jewish stop work. Yes, an affliction happens of no income on 10 Tishrei, Month 7 Day 10. Wars start this day from the enemy because they know Jewish people STOP all activity.

It was decided that instead of being annihilated it is better to fight in order to not perish off the face of the earth.

The 1973 Yom Kippur War was The Day of Affliction by the enemy.

October 7, 2023, was a jubilee of time from 1973. The Gazans showed they were all terrorists to the world on Day Eight of the Feast of Tabernacles, 22 Tishrei. It was the last day of the Ingathering. Beit Beit – Beginning Beginning – House House – Son Son was being announced. Fasting began for The Nation of Israel.

Praying without ceasing has brought Hamas scraped into the Sea. And now the trees (people) of Lebanon are being cut down. Their trees were used to build the Temple. Now their trees are bulldozed down to save Israel from her enemies.

About 3000 Hezbollah terrorists will not longer meet their 70 virgins fully in tact. The fasting at Yom Kippur will always remain because it shows the heart of man in a humble and repentant stage.

Our bibles have changed words and kept words in small print so that we almost miss reading the word and it’s intent. The fast is written, the fast in the New Testament. It’s there but goes by unnoticed because Jews killed their Jesus they think. The Bible translators are still trained not to have anything to do with Hebraic ways.

When I understood the importance of God’s Festivals and how we have come to abuse them it made me leave ‘religion’. I don’t want to read any man’s commentary because it is just their opinion. I want God’s opinion.

When we read in Isaiah that God is not happy with their ‘fast’, it has to include Yom Kippur. It is the Day of Judgment also known as The Day of Atonement.

The blood of Yeshua atones for our sins should we fully walk forward in that. The Day of Judgment is just that. Our Judge is seated in a courtroom and we all come before Him in our spirit form. He will look to see if we argued about what this ‘affliction’ means fasting or not. Isaiah is saying YHWH doesn’t even care about their ‘fast’ because it’s their heart that is wrong from the start.

Notice the exact date of when this FAST (affliction) is to start and end. A 24-hour fast is not hard for anyone to do. You eat at dusk. You sleep until sunrise. You then only have twelve hours to ‘remember’ to not eat. Wow! This is so easy and yet we have people telling us this is ‘works’ and not demanded by God.

Leviticus is talking about Yom Kippur and Isaiah 58:4 “On a day like today, fasting like yours will not make your voice heard on high.”

Lev 23:30  and anyone who does any kind of work on that day, I will destroy from among his people. 

Lev 23:31  You are not to do any kind of work; it is a permanent regulation through all your generations, no matter where you live. 

Lev 23:32  It will be for you a Shabbat of complete rest, and you are to deny yourselves; you are to rest on your Shabbat from evening the ninth day of the month until the following evening.” 

(This is a 24-hour period, dusk to dusk.)

Leviticus 16:29, 23:27 are each talking about Yom Kippur. Isaiah 58:4 confirms the affliction is a fast. “On a day like today, fasting like yours will not make your voice heard on high.”

There are six festivals that involve eating. The first three festivals are about gathering together to eat. There are three fall festivals that also gather mankind together to eat. The former fall rains nourish the ground so the seeds in the spring can grow. The spring rains are called latter as they grow the late crops such as fruit trees and grapes vines that are now ready to be crushed to harvest in the fall.

YHWH is The Master Gardener using the earth to show us his redemptive plans through actual food harvests. Yet, there is one more festival and it has to do with cutting away the wheat from the tares that have grown together. There is nothing to eat but it is called, the fast. It is a Sabbath called by The LORD in which we enter into The Presence of God. There is ONE Day only in the year that the Priest can enter past the veil where the ark is. This veil is likened to us passing through the thin veil that hangs between Heaven and earth. Only the spirit of man may enter past this veil to see Heaven. John was able to see it. Enoch saw it. Many may get to see it, but still few will enter into it. There are requirements in order to enter beyond the veil.

The Day of Atonement comes with suffering. It comes with denying every idol of this earth. We are to fast from idols. We are to declare what idol we have allowed in our lives and repent of it. It is on this somber Day of Atonement that Mosch came down from Mount Sinai and announced that YHWH said he would not forsake them and He would lead them.

Judgment shook the mountain of God and the people said told Mosch that they would do all the YHWH said. If they listened to him anymore they knew they would just die. (In fact, that group would all die but two, Joshua and Calev.)

They would have Mosch be their intercessor. There was a greater intercessor coming that would be likened to Mosch but even better. Mosch could tell them about The Torah but Yeshua Jesus could walk it out perfectly. The better slogan: “Do What Jesus Did.”

Patterns to Fasting: Mosch’s fasting foresaw Yeshua Jesus fasting. They both did it when starting anew. God’s redemptive plans all have ‘beginnings’. Yom Kippur is about ‘new’ beginnings. We have just finished repenting for 40 days and nights just like Mosch did. Now on Yom Kippur we can start anew but not until we afflict ourselves to seal it. Yom Kippur is The Day of Affliction.

How did Jesus afflict himself in The Wilderness before meeting up with Satan? He fasted 40 days and 40 nights. It is then that he was so ‘in the spirit’ that he could throw Scripture back into Satan’s face fending him off. It is in afflicting ourselves in fasting that brings our senses to what is really important. Food was the problem in the beginning with Adam and it is still the problem today. We need it to sustain our bodies but it takes away from our spirit realm. It seems we just get one meal finished when we then have to think about the next and the next. We are creatures of eating. Americans are creatures of obesity.

Back to the subject: Do we fast on Yom Kippur?

Let’s now go to Isaiah 58 – What is the Sabbath about?

Isa 58:13  “If you hold back your foot on Shabbat from pursuing your own interests on my holy day; if you call Shabbat a delight, Adonai’s holy day, worth honoring; then honor it by not doing your usual things or pursuing your interests or speaking about them. 

True and False Fasting

Isa 58:1  Shout out loud! Don’t hold back! Raise your voice like a shofar! Proclaim to my people what rebels they are, to the house of Ya`akov their sins. 

Isa 58:2  “Oh yes, they seek me day after day and [claim to] delight in knowing my ways. As if they were an upright nation that had not abandoned the rulings of their God, they ask me for just rulings and [claim] to take pleasure in closeness to God, 

Isa 58:3  [asking,] ‘Why should we fast, if you don’t see? Why mortify ourselves, if you don’t notice?’ “Here is my answer: when you fast, you go about doing whatever you like, while keeping your laborers hard at work. 

Isa 58:4  Your fasts lead to quarreling and fighting, to lashing out with violent blows. On a day like today, fasting like yours will not make your voice heard on high. 

Isa 58:5  “Is this the sort of fast I want, a day when a person mortifies himself? Is the object to hang your head like a reed and spread sackcloth and ashes under yourself? Is this what you call a fast, a day that pleases Adonai? 

Isa 58:6  “Here is the sort of fast I want—releasing those unjustly bound, untying the thongs of the yoke, letting the oppressed go free, breaking every yoke, 

Isa 58:7  sharing your food with the hungry, taking the homeless poor into your house, clothing the naked when you see them, fulfilling your duty to your kinsmen!” 

Isa 58:8  Then your light will burst forth like the morning, your new skin will quickly grow over your wound; your righteousness will precede you, and Adonai’s glory will follow you. 

Isa 58:9  Then you will call, and Adonai will answer; you will cry, and he will say, “Here I am.” If you will remove the yoke from among you, stop false accusation and slander, 

Isa 58:10  generously offer food to the hungry and meet the needs of the person in trouble; then your light will rise in the darkness, and your gloom become like noon. 

Isa 58:11  Adonai will always guide you; he will satisfy your needs in the desert, he will renew the strength in your limbs; so that you will be like a watered garden, like a spring whose water never fails. 

Isa 58:12  You will rebuild the ancient ruins, raise foundations from ages past, and be called “Repairer of broken walls, Restorer of streets to live in.” 

Isa 58:13  “If you hold back your foot on Shabbat from pursuing your own interests on my holy day; if you call Shabbat a delight, Adonai’s holy day, worth honoring; then honor it by not doing your usual things or pursuing your interests or speaking about them. 

Isa 58:14  If you do, you will find delight in Adonai—I will make you ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Ya`akov, for the mouth of Adonai has spoken.” 

Isaiah 33:20  Look at Tziyon, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Yerushalayim a secure abode, a tent that will not be removed, whose pegs will never be pulled out and whose guy-ropes will not be cut. 

Yom Kippur is the Day of Destruction –

Joel 1:14  Proclaim a holy fast, call for a solemn assembly, gather the leaders and all who live in the land to the house of Adonai your God, and cry out to Adonai, 

Joe 1:15  “Oh no! The Day! The Day of Adonai is upon us! As destruction from Shaddai it is coming! 

Joe 1:16  The food is cut off before our very eyes, also joy and gladness from the house of our God. 

Joe 1:17  The seed-grain is rotting in its furrows; the granaries are deserted, the barns in ruins; because the grain has withered. 

Joe 1:18  How the animals groan! The herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture. The flocks of sheep bear the punishment, too. 

Joe 1:19  Adonai, I cry out to you! For the fire has consumed the pastures in the desert, and the flame set ablaze all the trees in the fields. 

Joe 1:20  Even the wild animals come to you, panting, because the stream beds have dried up, and fire has consumed the pastures in the desert.” 

YES! A FAST was called on October 12, 2024. Thirty people advocated for it with one abstaining. He is new with much to learn. But his abstinence to The Fast brought me to write this article. I know he is new and I think I am new at times to this. There is much to learn in the ways of God.

A same leader say that The Gentile is not to eat kosher. The goal is to separate the Jew from the Gentile. Scripture says that the Gentile is to follow Jewish ways: Ten Gentiles chase after one Jewish teacher to learn Hebraic ways.

Yom Kippur is called: The Fast

Jeremiah 36:6  Therefore, you take the scroll which you wrote at my dictation, go into the house of Adonai on a fast-day, and read from it the words of Adonai in the hearing of the people; also read them to all Y’hudah as they exit their cities.

The Torah is to be read on The Lord’s Fast called Yom Kippur.
