This is a short study on the word ‘tradition’. In the bible program e-sword it gave me eleven places were the word tradition was used when I ask it to search the entire Bible. This word ‘tradition’ has been twisted to sound evil. Let’s look at it in the context of washing your hands. We will also see a tradition with the cleaning pots.

Do you remind your family to wash their hands before eating? Perhaps so, because we have learned that it cuts back on germs and parasites going into the body. Does this self-made guideline get broken? Most certainly, as we quickly grab a piece of pizza before our favorite kind is gone. This was an oral tradition set up by ‘elders’ who were looking out for the health of their nation. It had gone on so long, that it just seemed like a ‘rule’ that could never be broken. It became so important to health that it became more valuable than taking care of their parents. In fact, tithing to keep the church going can become more important than you caring for your parents. I just had a previous pastor tell me that he has now repented in tears that he told his congregation to send their parents to care centers instead because then they would not be able to support his church.

Today, many churches place themselves above their personal families. Many churches expect you to be in church not only on Sunday morning and afternoon but also Sunday night….and Wednesday night. My own family doesn’t see each other much because of such practice. If you don’t go to the same church, then you never really get a chance to be with your other families. We must never ‘forsake’ our families. We should NEVER feel guilty about missing church to take care of the relationships in your family. God’s Order: God, Family, Church.

I know pastors want a full house to reach souls. It is also their job to get the ‘bills’ paid with your tithe. Many churches tell you that this is now your family. I have witnessed many families leaving such churches because they found that divorcing their families was not worth the allegiance to that pastor or church.

Churches will fail when they stretch their people too far. Mentally and physically, there is NOT enough time to take care of all the families in a church. Church members should never replace your family members.

Jesus told them that they were making tithe even more important than their parents. Tithe is not even in the 613 commands but offering your best is. Taking care of your parents is the Fifth command showing us it is at the top of God’s priorities. Having your children taught by the older is very wise.

Is “Tithing” more important than obeying The Torah? NO! Honoring your parents is the first commandment with a blessing which then implies a curse. If you are not helping mow, clean or paint your elderly parent’s home, you are missing out on teaching your children to serve others. In the end, failure to comply to these instructions brings us to cleaning the church and helping in the kitchen. This is your new family but, in the end, you have not built upon our own generation of family. You may go to your grave with only church people at your funeral.
Let us look at the eleven places the word ‘tradition is used in the bible. We can appreciate how Jesus responds because he throws The Torah back in their faces. And his accusation is that their ways have negated The Father’s ways. We will see Yeshua Jesus upset that these men think that their guidelines supersede The Fathers…like Mosche’s uncle Korach who wanted to rule his way. Korach could not wrap his mind around the fact that Mosche was being instructed by God. Thus, when Korach rebelled, he was really rebelling against God.

Mat_15:2  Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
Mat_15:3  But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
Mat_15:6  And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Mar_7:3  For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

Here we see that if you didn’t wash your hands often you broke the elder’s traditions. Washing your hands before eating is not written in the instructions of Mosche known as The Written Word of God…The Torah. They were talking to The Living Word who walked out The Torah knowing they were Written Words of The Father. Yeshua could only do what he heard came through The Father in the Heavens. He would not obey the earth’s fathers if he found them contrary to The Father’s words. Even his last words said, Son, take care of this woman as if we were your mother. We are all brothers and sisters…all mothers and fathers when in The Torah. Perhaps it was really his mother…but the point is Yeshua died with Torah pouring out of him.

Mar_7:5  Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
Mar_7:8  For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mar_7:9  And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Mar_7:13  Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Col_2:8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
2Th_3:6  Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
1Pe_1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

I was in a humble Cairo Egypt restaurant 2000 at Ramadan. A Muslim woman kept getting up, leaving, coming back continually. I followed her to the wash area and watched her scrub her hands and arms vigorously as if they had done something wrong. I did not speak to her but just watched how thorough she was washing herself. When I ask our pastor about her strange behavior, he commented that she was following her traditions. Yes, she was being obedient to the traditions of her Muslim elders’.

In Colossians 2:8 the people are told that they can be spoiled. He tells them that if they continue to walk with those that follow these traditions set up by man then they will also spoil and never bear correct fruit. In Genesis we see everything produces after its own kind. Eating from a bad tree resulted in the people spoiling themselves. Their physical was now exposed and after this they would produce children. Their spiritual life exposed their physical life. If we are not spiritually sound, we cannot expect our physical life to be sound. It was good that God removed them from a place where people would live forever. It would not be good to live forever in that state of sin. We see mercy right here in their removal.

What spoils a human being? We have eleven verses here that refer to ‘tradition’. Traditions of men and their philosophies have destroyed our relationship with God. These traditions begin with a discussion such as Adam and Chanoah had with the talking serpent. Traditions can then turn into law even if it’s not in writing. It is just an understanding that is accepted as a rule. We are given just a few examples with Yeshua mentioning the washing of the temple’s utensils and the washing of hands. These oral laws are called Rabbinic Oral Law.

An oral instruction does not mean it came from God. The Torah was called, the Oral Torah of Heaven but today is known as The Written Torah. once it was written down at the time of Babylon with 120 great men which became known as The Great Assembly.

Today we deal with what Yeshua came to this earth to deal with….oral torah (instrucdtions). Men are always making their words ‘law’. This is why we need Torah-loving humans making our laws. If don’t follow God’s Torah of justice for our earth, we can not expect God to honor us. Truly we can be called hypocrites because we make our own church doctrines and all them God’s doctrines…when no where does it say that ‘speaking in tongues’ is not for today. No where does it say that miracles are not for today. No where does it say that dreams and visions are not for today. In fact, it says that these things will increase in number as signs that the end is coming.

No one can put their words in God’s mouth. Instead Pastors get cancer, get sick, lose their eyes sight. their voice even and even have children die. Is it worth it? Are these doctrines (traditions) of men worth the price? It saddens me that this simple word “tradition’ is not really understood. We have had so much pain in the church because of we won’t let go of our fathers ‘old paths’ when that Old Path is The Torah…Heaven’s Torah to keep us safe on the earth.

In the United States well before 1973 it’s citizens discussed abortion. It would be another form of birth control. Woman were using the IUD and told it was just a mass of tissue being removed by this device installed in their bodies. Education on ‘life’ now shows that we are wonderfully designed before the days of creation.

Evil wanted ‘abortion to become a tradition. In America more and more people are understanding what we’re discussing here and understand that we must return to the ways of God. We want His instructions…even those simple Ten Commandments would help get us to return to God’s ways. Maybe he 613 will work out in our world’s future but without Temple we see that right now we are The Temple for the Holy Spirit.

The ‘tradition of men’ was very personal to Yeshua Jesus. It was very personal to Mosche. Both of their parents had political forces wanting these kids dead. Political’ forces have always set up their ‘traditions’ going against God’s Traditions. The Torah is from heaven as it was spoken by God. It is called Heaven’s Instructions.

Joseph was a victim of his dreams shared with the wrong people. Dreams and visions are not respected in our world today. When we don’t understand something we go along with the ‘traditions’ of our ‘church’ leadership because somewhere in ‘the doctrines’ it was deemed as ‘unsound tradition.’ If you can grasp the magnitude of this, this misunderstanding of the word ‘traditions’ has caused our wars and holocausts. In fact I’m going to be bold enough to say that this misunderstanding is the reason God is letting go and The Plagues continue….the oppression of people continues and more wars are sounding because The Torah is deemed invalid by our very own pastors. This is horrific…and just because of stubborn hearts like Cain whose plan was to just “murder’ even a member of his own family and set up Cain Cities across the world….where you CAN murder.

Moral Law is suppose to be in our hearts Pastor Creflow Dollar preaches. BUT…babies are born nasty. They are selfish and want only their way. Their sin nature is right out front. The human nature is SELF. They only learn love from a mother, father and siblings loving on them. And, then when we love on them too much, they turn back to their original sin nature of SELF again. Yes, the human nature is about self. Even Adam ate from the ‘bad tree’ because he didn’t want to go through life without the woman his eyes were now lusting after. These desires are natural but controllable.

Moses and Yeshua Jesus were both hunted as chidlren. The tradition of ‘killing children’ is not new to our earth. Enslaving children is not new. Hindering educating people is not new to our earth. COVID has shown us that the new Pharisees that rule us don’t want educated people. When we visited Haiti in 2004 they said that the ‘drug Lord’s’ controlled the people. They killed the teachers and doctors who lived among the people. The ‘drug lord’s’ aren’t selling drugs but use the island to produce them. The Lord’s are powerful people in our world that like controlling our jungles. People that allow ‘traditions’ that cause will always be a slave. to The Lords love assets and people can be assets.

Haiti has been an experiment. It shows what a human being will tolerate if you feed him enough to just get by. Haitians are given electricity if they behave. They are given water if they follow ‘the traditions’ of the governing forces. Keeping them poor and unproductive has worked but once they flee and see The Torah which gives freedom, they don’t want to return to Haiti. God’s Torah gives freedom to all mankind to live free on this earth. Torah does not allow murder.

At year 2022 technology detects a human fetus as soon as the bodies chemicals change..it’s called a pregnancy test. We kill early and we kill after the child is born. People go to Haiti to adopt children but return empty handed because unless the father gives permission, the child can not leave the island on which it was born. Again, a plan for disaster by the ‘traditions’ of the City of Cain.

Yes, there is a tradition that had order to it. It still is called, The Torah. It does not SAVE anyone, but in a way it gives us position. If we teach The Torah…we can be called great. If we discourage people from Heaven’s Traditions (The Torah) then we are least and least and least and least…and how far down the pole of life do we want to be when it comes to heaven?

1Pe_1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

There we have it… 1 Peter. The things of this world only bring corruption. If we chose to create our own traditions as Cain chose to build his city his way…, we are not redeemable. We are only redeemable by The Blood of Yeshua. And once we get to know Yeshua, we should want to walk as He walked. We MUST return to Toah…because without The Torah…we can’t know Christ. Without The Torah Yeshua will never be identifiable. Yes, Christian’s today would not recognize him except to put their hands in His palms. He may not even shake hands with them. They have REMOVED His Words from the earth…and will be held accountable…especially for our current plague. Churches are still shut down right?

We are approaching the days of Esther. Do Christians even know they could fast? Do they know Purim allows them freedom to move about the earth? Christians who don’t know The Written Traditions need to learn them. Do they want to be least…and maybe not even there? Or called Great because they will be able to Teach it.

Oil for the Lamp – Yes, God’s traditions are set forth even in the first verses.

Why Oil? Because we are that oil as Jesus was that oil greatly pressed at the Garden of Gethsemane which means, to press. We are to be Light to the world…always burning. If your light seems to go out…relight yourself and keep pressing forth.

Exo 27:20  And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. 
Exo 27:21  In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute forever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel. 

Without The Veil – is the area for the Gentile…me and you. We are to be included in this great celebration of looking forward to our Messiah coming. He is near my friends. We are grafted into the ‘traditions’ of Israel. If you accept that and walk out The Lord’s Feasts…Yeshua will not call you a ‘hypocrite.’ The Pharisees were smart. We are also to be smart about the ways of God. If you don’t study up on this to show yourself an approved workman of The Lord….then it’s a very sad thing to not want God in your life.

Don’t walk away as Cain did.
