Polygamy in Hebrew and Greek Scriptures: The Truth About Patriarchs’ Marriages

Po.lyg.a.my

noun – the practice or custom of having more than one wife or husband at the same time.

Who are wives? Who are concubines?

Is polygamy practiced today because Abraham, Ya’cov and David, did it? But did they, do it? We know Solomon did as he is the King of ‘The Torah Take Down.’

Let’s look at the words in Greek and Hebrew and who is called a wife and who is called a concubine.

The word ‘wife’ is applied to the position of a queen of the house. A concubine is a worker, male or female.

We find that even a prophetess is called a wife, not a concubine. A prophet’s wife is not a slave or bond woman.

Did Abraham have one wife at a time? Did David have one wife at a time? Did Ya’cov have one wife at a time? Did Solomon have one wife at a time? And, what does Timothy say about having ONE wife?

Qualifications for Overseers – One Wife

1Timothy 3:1  This is a true saying, if a man desires the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

1Ti 3:2  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1Ti 3:12  Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well

Abraham by age 175 only had two queens (wives) in his life; Sarai and Keturah.

ABRAHAM WAS NOT A POLYGAMIST – He had one wife at a time.

He married his first queen when he was a jubilee (50 years) old. She was age 40. He married her when being chased out by Nimrod who burns his enemies in his fiery caldrons. Thus, we know the area of Nimrod as the Fires of the Chaldeans. Abraham took his father and their family and fled Nimrod. Nimrod did not like his family business of selling figurines (idols) being destroyed. Abraham personally started that fire declaring that he served a god unknown to Nimrod. Abram’s god was a living god and not made of stone that cannot act.

The Seed of The Messiah would begin with Abraham’s faith in this promise. Isaac was the miracle seed planted in Sarai prophesied to Adam in Genesis 3:15.

All patterns would occur in perfect timing to bring forth The One True Seed Yeshua the Messiah. God came in the flesh to complete all the things spoken about this seed by all the prophets. Even the Hebrew appointments gave witness to the recognizing of The Messiach when He came and when He will return.

ISAAC – Laughter

God was chuckling to himself and even named this founding father, Laughter. YHWH will not be mocked. YHWH laughed at The Deceiver in the Gan of Eden, and we can laugh knowing the real ‘end of the story’. Yes, we are on the winning end. Yet, praying for God’s mercy and grace to prevail is key as all accusations are removed that demean Isra’el.

With intent the pattern is One Bride to be obedient to God’s instructions. YHWH constantly warns about having more than one wife… many gods before Him.

Israel is that Bride that Yeshua is coming back to marry. Therefore, we can be sure that God is not a polygamist. Therefore, we must not have anything to do with polygamists. YHWH decided that a man and woman shall become one. There are to be no other people in the bed or in our lives. There can be no other idols in our lives to draw us away from the groom to whom we are betrothed.

Abraham, Isaac and Ya’cov began the works of marriage to bring forth the one that qualified to crush The Deceiver’s head. Genesis 3:15. Now by the time of Solomon things really fell apart. Yet, the seed line still comes through David’s son Nathan.

Let’s review the beginning of this story which is now memorized on all the earth. There should be no one that does not know the creation story and know why we have children through labor pain and we work the soil through weeds to bring forth food.

(YLT)  And Jehovah God saith to the woman, ‘What is this thou hast done?’ and the woman saith, ‘The serpent hath caused me to forget—and I do eat.’

Gen 3:4  The serpent said to the woman, “It is not true that you will surely die;

Gen 3:22  Adonai, God, said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, to prevent his putting out his hand and taking also from the tree of life, eating, and living forever—”

Gen 3:24  So he drove the man out, and he placed at the east of the garden of `Eden the k’ruvim and a flaming sword which turned in every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

Man was not supposed to die because this special fruit would help him live forever. But since man sinned God was merciful in letting him die so as not to live forever fighting off the flesh that is apt to sinning.

THE DECEIVER’s appearance has changed. The incredibly beautiful angel of lightness is now transformed into an entity that crawls on the ground.

Gen 3:14  Adonai, God, said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all livestock and wild animals. You will crawl on your belly and eat dust as long as you live.

The one who deceives will be defeated but not without a fight. The Polygamy scheme is part of that deception. It came in with Joseph Smith of whom added his own words to God’s words. That alone puts a curse on that organization of religion because they add to The Torah.

Gen 3:15  I will put animosity between you and the woman, and between your descendant and her descendant; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

The battle of The First Born begins here. The first borns are seen at times as being cast off to show the pattern of The Messiach. Yeshua Jesus was cast off at the cross as foretold in Genesis. The Garden pattern is about The Bride being deceived. When we join the family of Abraham, Isaac and Ya’cov we join The Bride in her redemption.

God has one Bride, and she CANNOT fornicate with the world. Thus, to say any of these founding fathers are polygamists is a slap in YHWH’s face. It is full of deception.

Instead of God being married to many wives, He says there is just one bride he will marry. This bride will be dressed in white garments stained with his blood. We can only join the bridal party by being dead to ourselves. The Torah put legs on itself and is walked out by Yeshua…never failing it in one part. We too put legs on The Torah and walk in it as much as what can apply to us.

There is no Temple today so we apply within our own bodies what those actions mean for us today. We are not to fornicate with religions nor humans. Our temple is to be holy. I believe if we desire to use bad language, the Holy Spirit is not in you. The Ruach HaChodesh canNOT speak evil and curse himself. And God tells us not to make our words His words. Our lives must be set apart as holy and holiness is only found in The Torah. We know not because we study it not.

Proverbs 30:6  Don’t add anything to his words; or he will rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

There is One Torah and One Bride. God will not entertain many brides. So to say man can have many brides is to say you want to reach God in many ways.

Pro 30:4  Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has cupped the wind in the palms of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know!

The firstborn Yeshua Jesus that was rejected suffered two thousand years ago and is right on pattern to arrive back to earth to claim His ‘firstborn’ rights. He suffered and submitted to every prophesy spoken about him and now He will come back completing the mission of yet things to be fulfilled. Yeshua Jesus is God in the flesh and acts as One with the words of The Father. In fact, there is nothing that Yeshua can do or speak except what The Father says to do or speak. We should exemplify those attributes too. They are God’s attributes to be seen in us.

Adam and Chanoah did not have their first child for a jubilee of time. They were out of the beautiful Eden and placed on the soil from which they were made. Fifty years is a pattern for us to mark. We see them marry (sex) at 50 bringing forth Cain and we see Abram and Sarai marry as they leave for a new land, too. Hmm…. Cain and Abel are lost to the lineage of righteousness but then Seth is born to revive The Empire. I should check to see if he was born when Adam was age 100 because then he is our pattern to a new ‘firstborn’ to bring in the lineage to Christ. Issac was born when Abraham was 100. Israel being 100 will be a big deal for our earth…. thus 2047-2048 will be a momentus time for earth.

Righteous Seth –

The ‘third’ born human was Seth. He was the second human in his generation to be called righteous. Adam repented so he is still the first in that righteous line. Seth replaced Cain in receiving the inheritance of earthly blessings. Adam lived to be 930 years only lacking 70 years from a perfect 1000-year day. Adam had ONE wife.

Haughty Concubine Hagar –

Her son Ishmael followed her haughty actions. Together they caused Sarai to expel them both from the area to protect Isaac.

The Deceiver was NOT allowed to hurt The Seed, Isaac.

Gen 16:5  Sarai said to Avram, “This outrage being done to me is your fault! True, I gave my slave-girl to you to sleep with; but when she saw that she was pregnant, she began holding me in contempt. May Adonai decide who is right—I or you!”
Gen 16:6  However, Avram answered Sarai, “Look, she’s your slave-girl. Deal with her as you think fit.” Then Sarai treated her so harshly that she ran away from her.

It was the WIFE (mistress, queen) Sarai that was given permission by Abraham to remove a haughty attitude from their camp. YHWH told Abraham he should listen to Sarai about this threat.

Abraham was never in a physical relationship with Hagar during Ishmael’s thirteen years before Isaac was born. Hagar and Ishmael were Sarai’s bond workers. Sarai controlled those narratives just as Leah and Rachel controlled their concubines’ narratives to allow children to be born.

Abraham does not marry Keturah until wife Saria dies. Abraham will live 48 years longer than Sarai. He dies at age 175 and Sari dies at age 127 when Abraham is age 137. Thus, Abraham has 38 more years to produce another generation of children. Abraham has exactly one hundred children in his lineage by the time he dies. (Genesis 25)

Sarai had Issac through whom 70 went into Egypt. Joseph added 2 more for 72.

Ishamel had 12 sons.

Keturah had 16 in her lineage.

Total: 100 children that could come to the knees of Abraham.

Ishmael is tied to the pattern of Abraham’s age of 137. Ishmael dies at age 137 whereas Abraham is 137 when Sarai dies. Will year 2037 see the Ishmaelite unite with their cousin Israel so Ishmael does not perish off the earth? Two Nations with the same father hopefully will come together. They did come together to bury their father, Abraham.

The completion of governors that bring mankind to their worst. They desire to murder as did Cain from the beginning.

Isaac marries at age 40 but does not have the twins until age 60. This shows us the number of men. It shows us the war between these two during a pregnancy that began at year 6000.

The survival of this Bride known as Israel will only happen with God’s hand on it. Only God can bring these tribes to peace. If they don’t choose peace they continue in false god worship while destroying nations around them.

The pains of carrying these two nations nearly killed their mother. Rebecca did not have any other children. The jealousy of being in first place still consumes Esau. He is the Edomites that today come against Israel. He is represented by red which is the word Dom for blood. Spilled blood is defiling our earth right now.

Humble Issac –

Chosen to lead out in spiritual blessings. Isaac’s wife was told the prophecy which continues still today. Isaac can forget and favor Esau, but YHWH always remembers His promise to Isaac’s bride. YHWH has one bride and that is Israel. We need to join Ya’cov called Israel. It is the bride Israel that is protected by YHWH.

Humble Ya’cov survived the womb –

Gen 25:23  who answered her, “There are two nations in your womb. From birth they will be two rival peoples. One of these people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.”

Ya’cov was beat up within the womb of his mother Rebecca. He was placed first to come out but was pushed back by Esau. The haughty Esau forced himself to be a firstborn. Yet, God prevailed when Rebecca remembered ‘the last would be first.” Rebecca’s family helped Ya’cov find a good wife.

The birthing pains are connected to obedience to God. No obedience to The Torah brings stronger birthing pains. Israel’s instructions are the apple of God’s eye. When we lose sight of His calendar, we lose sight of Him and what is happening. The calendar prepares us to walk in being One with God and having no other gods before Him.

Lev 18:3  You are not to engage in the activities found in the land of Egypt, where you used to live; and you are not to engage in the activities found in the land of Kena`an, where I am bringing you; nor are you to live by their laws.

The instructions on marriage show us that the ‘act’ seals the marriage covenant.

Sexual perversion was the cause of The Flood. In the days of Moses many laws on who could not be your spouse were laid out. Even first-born Rueben failed. He violated his father’s bed by going into Rachel’s concubine Bilah. Bilah was a servant not protected by her owner Rachel. Rachel had died giving birth to Binyamin leaving Bilah open to rape. Bilah died a sad individual. God closed two doors to Bilah. She was violated by rape and therefore could not be given to Ya’cov for childbearing. Rachel her owner had died. God had sealed her off from bearing children.

(The Twelve Israelite tribes were complete.)

We do NOT see other tribe members having second queens (wives). It is like there being one queen bee per hive. There is to be one wife (queen).

King Sha’ul gave his daughter Mikel to David to marry because at that time he loved David. Mikel had other children by another man. She did not love David and made fun of him when dancing for The Lord when he only wore a loin cloth. Perhaps David did not consummate that marriage as she hated him. And David was not yet king and found himself fleeing for his life for many years. King Sha’ul would need to finish his 40-year reign before David could begin his 40-year reign. Patterns must be met.

Here we see Adonai instructing David on how to stop a plague. He takes Mikel’s five sons and has them killed and put on display. King Saul’s daughter rejected David and now God rejects her children. Her lineage is wiped out.

2Sa 21:8  The king took the two sons of Ritzpah the daughter of Ayah, whom she bore to Sha’ul, Armoni and M’fivoshet; and the five sons of Mikhal the daughter of Sha’ul, whom she bore to Adri’el the son of Barzillai the Mecholati;

2Sa 21:9  and handed them over to the Giv`onim, who hanged them on the hill before Adonai. All seven died; they were put to death during the first days of the harvest season, at the beginning of the barley harvest.

So, was David a polygamist? No again!

King David will lose his firstborn child with Bathsheba because he violated Uriah’s marriage rights. 2 Samuel 12:9

After Uriah died David could make Bathsheba his queen (wife).

Nathan is a son of Bathsheba. She is now David’s wife sitting as queen. She has Solomon who reigns with her at his side at age 17.

Solomon is ordered to kill a few of David’s enemies after David dies and he does.

Nathan is a prophet for King David and makes him aware of his son Absolon stealing his kingdom from him. Nathan helps install Solomon as king. God rewards Nathan by having his lineage lead through to The Messiah.

The Patriarch’s never encouraged polygamy. Yet, this culture had many helpers in life. Concubines are servants to be taken care of as they take care of others in the family setting.

Concubines are male and female. Their employers were responsible for their safety and welfare. Sarah cared for Hagar just as Leah and Rachel cared for their servants given to them by their father Lavan. These woman were not given as wives to Ya’cov but as helpers to the daughters.

Solomon is seen as an Anti-Torah king.

When you violate The Torah you are anti torah. If you are anti-torah, you are also against the anointing of The Messiach to come. All of Torah points to the calendar that shows The Messiach. You cannot walk in The Torah without seeing The Christ.

Solomon was against The Torah –

Rabi’s have always viewed Solomon as Anti-Torah. He got them hauled off to Babylon for 70 years for not following it. He multiplied wives when it is specific in trusting God instead of other countries.

Solomon might be the biggest polygamist on earth besides Gangues Kong. Christians should stop making Solomon out to be a hero. He wasted the wisdom God gave him. God gave him the Torah and he refused to read it. He was busy building himself a home, a home for wives and then he built The Temple last over a twenty-year span.

He never had the Torah written out each year. Thus, it was never read to the people. They did not know to lay the land fallow every seven years, nor did he continue to draw people to Jerusalem for festivals. He did these things when his mother reigned with him and then he let other woman claim his attention.

Solomon married many wives to embolden his borders. He used those wives to secure territories. He trusted in those wives influence instead of God. By merging with the areas around him he was even able to ship arms (horses)to secure his battles and their battles. Later those strong holds would turn on him and bring him to ruin. Actually, Solomon had been called an arms dealer.

The multiplied horses and wives made him look strong in his own right.

I would guess that he did not have constant sexual relations with these wives except to bring about alliances. Just sending horses to these areas might have been enough to secure their trust not to attack him.

Solomon failed in trusting God. Israel today is leaning on prayer instead of nations. Israel has learned not to be like Solomon. They do not want others to fight their wars for them. It is in these crises that YHWH can make Himself known in miracles. REPENTANCE is key.

YES, Solomon was the polygamist that lost his kingdom over it. His many wives lead him to sacrifice his children to their gods including Moleck. Yes, they actually slew their children to these many gods.

Worshiping other gods is in style today. Many traditions began with the ‘egg’ of fertility and it continues in cult religions.

Polygamy is the same deception of keeping many women pregnant.

We must be careful not to follow Solomon because he exchanged God’s Torah wisdom and turned it into his own wisdom. He changed words in The Torah stating that he could change The Torah because he was so wise. He said that Torah did not apply to him. Today Christians say the same thing. Torah is not for us today. They don’t understand that we should be thankful for instructions to follow instead of looking at them as awful laws to follow.

What does the verse mean when it is describing the days as they will no longer marry? It means just that. Humans live together with no commitment to a relationship. They just need a place to stay and don’t really move into what the covenant of marriage really means.

It will be like in the days of Noach where people just keep on keeping on… and marrying and being given in marriage. Yet, the evil do not marry and just live together filling up the Scripture that says, “And they will not marry.”

Today humans live together like animals. They have sex with whomever or whatever they want. The LB-XYZ groups do not reproduce just as priests, nuns, Jesuits and others violate Torah as they restrict themselves from marriage. This is all in violation of Genesis through which the earth is blessed when multiplying. (Peter had a wife and children.)

2Ti 2:23  But stay away from stupid and ignorant controversies—you know that they lead to fights,

2Ti 2:24  and a slave of the Lord shouldn’t fight. On the contrary, he should be kind to everyone, a good teacher, and not resentful when mistreated.

2Ti 2:25  Also he should be gentle as he corrects his opponents. For God may perhaps grant them the opportunity to turn from their sins, acquire full knowledge of the truth,

2Ti 2:26  come to their senses and escape the trap of the Adversary, after having been captured alive by him to do his will.

Did David have many wives at one time? I don’t think so. He was not even king when meeting Abigale.

He had not consummated his marriage to Saul’s daughter Michel. She loved another man. She hated and mocked David.

Abraham gave into the cries of his childless wife queen Sari. Sari at age 76 gave her handmaid Hagar to Abram who was age 86. This one-night stand produced Ishmael, who would reign first place in Abraham’s heart for 13 years.

Thirteen is playing out Ishmael’s age when Issac arrives to earth. April 13, 2024, IRAN sent over 300 projectiles to Israel. July 13, 2023, President Trump had an attempted assassination. Both events turned out to be MIRACLES. Ishmael was in God’s intent to bring Truth to the earth. Sheep and goats, left and right, good and bad must be choices. Our world is being judged and you must decide which side of truth you stand on. Will you declare the Patriarchs’ Anti-Torah? It says not to multiply wives. They were not perfect, but they also were NOT polygamists. Yet, they were warned against many gods. Yes, we do have many gods.

Ishmael at age 13 is sent off because he and his mother were haughty towards newborn Isaac. Sari was their master, not Abraham. Abraham did not have more children with Hagar. It was a one-time event. This was not a marriage relationship. We can see through these definitions that she stayed under the description as a concubine.

Abraham was true to Sarai, his only wife. Sarai would have her firstborn at age 90 and Abraham 100 years old. Five cities were burnt up by brimstone and fire before it was safe for Isaac to be born on the earth. Our earth is scheduled to burn. Isaac birth is the pattern to the next event for our earth. And it is happening now in 2024.

Our wars are spiritual Allah against YHWH, the living God of Isra’el.

Sara beheld her son Issac for 37 years before she dies at age 127. Abraham is age 137. He then marries Keturah. These are numbers to consider as wars and more wars are rumored, and we march forward to the years 2027 and 2037. Do not take numbers for granted.

This number 35 is very key. It is the last number in the Fifth Shemittah cycle. Five is the letter ‘Hei’ representing the ‘breath of God’. Even our Messiah lived on earth in the these numbers seen in the fifth cycle. Abram came out of fires sitting above this lattitude and longitude. Yet, we see the longitude and lattitudes that are included in this fifth cycle a place of growth and an area that saved Yeshua when The Herods were chasing them.

Look at longitude and latitude where they meet exactly together over in the middle east.

29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35

Yeshua began his serious ministry coming up into these areas. God’s breath was on him. Then he gave it up at about age 33 and at 33 longitude 33 latitude.

I just had to add this because when people want to write books they should include the details of God are so perfect so we don’t miss this story playing out and where the scenes even happen.

I hope you fall in love with YHWH. His palms are everywhere because He is everywhere. Twenty is the letter Chai for Life. It is seen as an open palm of a hand. In the 20th century we see life being given grace. Ya’cov left Laven after completing twenty years. His family was placed upon the earth visually in 1948…which was the 20th Century. By the 21st Century Binyamin was born and grew. In our 21st Century that family known by their father Israel’s name is growing upon the earth. The Patterns to Binyamin returning is seen in Yeshua Jesus.

The pattern is there for us to know YHWH has not changed his program. He is coming back for what some think are two brides, but they are one. The northern and southern tribes become one as they are drawn to Jerusalem’s Temple ONLY to worship. YHWH chooses one location for His Temple on this earth. It shadows the ONE Temple that is Heaven right now. When that One Temple on earth became defiled with others gods in it, God burnt it down in 70 AD. He won’t be mocked with false gods initiated by false spirits.

Gen 24:67  Then Yitz’chak brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent and took Rivkah, and she became his wife, and he loved her. Thus was Yitz’chak comforted for the loss of his mother.

YHWH will be comforted when He becomes one with us because we come into His Tent for our comfort. The Bride comes to the Groom. We are waiting for His Temple to arrive. It will not be built by our hands but His. And Yeshua Jesus will be king over all the earth from that spot at that predetermined longitude and latitude. Perhaps it will be at the Jubilee number of 50 when all is said and done at the Eighth Day.

Rachel was buried outside the city shows us YHWH is interested in ONE Bride being one in thought. Leah lies in repose with Ya’cov in Hebron. He lies in repose with ONE wife….not four. The wives slaves are not there. They were not queens. They were cry babies and jealous woman. Sarah’s laughter of glee is what her child would be name….. ‘laughter’. She would laugh with joy. All the scorn by others placed on her was now avenaged by YHWH. His grace covered her just as it would cover Miriam who was also scorned. But Mary’s scorn was being very young and pregnant out of wedlock. Both the names of these woman would be remembered into eternity for their part in trusting their husbands. Jospeh would not put Mary away by death by the community. Sarah would praise Abraham for not casting her off nor did she seeke another man to fill her womb. Children are purposed and all in YHWH’s timing.

Hagar (Sari’s conqubine) nor Keturah (a wife) are lying in repose with Abraham. Sarai is the ONE wife declared as his queen. Keturah nor Hagar were meant to bear The Seed to The Nation of Israel.

Hagar was a one-night stand.

Sarah was married to Abraham 87 years (age 40 to 127)

Keturah was married to Abraham 137 after Sarah died. (age 137 to 175) 38 years at the most.

Be blessed and keep watching for God’s breath on this earth in years coming up: 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034 and 2035. If you can make it to 35… WOW!!! And don’t forget about 37. Ishmael died at age 137, Abraham was 137 when his first bride Sarah died.

Aleph (1), Gilmel (3) lift, Zayin (7) weapon . God lifts up Weapon – Day Seven is a weapon. It is called The Sabbath.

ONE God, ONE Torah, ONE Husband!!! Abraham was not a polygomist.

P.S. Noach’s flood was year 1334. Eight people lifted up to step out new soil in the year 1335. Noach was a precursor to Daniel’s words of making it to day 1335 to be blessed.
