Jubilee (50th) Parshah – When You Come – Ki Tavo – 2023

50th Parashah in The Torah * 7th Parshah Book of Deuteronomy * 7 Covenants
Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8; Verse 29:8 ends Mosch sermon.
This Torah portion occurs 4 weeks before the New Civil calendar begins. In 4 weeks trumpets will sound bringing in God’s New Year that man should be honoring. The Nation of Israel leads the way in being the example for our world. If the do not live out True Torah before the world, they will be cut off for being disobedient.
And, how does the world know they can trust ISRAEL’s leading them? The Gentiles will have studied The Torah to know if any Israeli leader is correct or not.
If the New Testament does not endorse the words of the TANAK (OT), it is not from the ‘mouth of God.’ There is nothing ‘the people of God’ or Jesus could say that first did not line up with what was already established for righteous purposes.
Deuteronomy 28:69  “These are the words of the covenant which Adonai ordered Moshe to make with the people of Isra’el in the land of Mo’av, in addition to the covenant which he made with them in Horev.”
These words were given to them while standing in the land of the Moabites. This covenant is named after the location… Moabite Covenant. This covenant is in addition to what they had been given at Mt. Sinai (Horev).
Adam given promises (Adamic Covenant Genesis 3:15-19)
Noach given promises (Noachic Covenant Genesis 8:20-9:13)
Abraham given promises (Abrahamic Covenant)
Land Grant = land given, people given. (Land Grant Genesis 15)
Mosch given promises at Mt Sinai (Mosaic Covenant Exodus 19:9, 16-19)
Mosch given promises at Moabites (Moabic Covenant Deut 29, 30)
David given promises of Messiah (Davidic Covenant II Sam 7:12014a, Joel 3:1-3; Dan 2; Isaiah 9:7-8, Rev 20:6, I Cor 15:24-26)

God’s promises cannot be broken by Him. What he says goes on forever as He does not change.
Deuteronomy 28:69  These are the words of the covenant which Adonai ordered Moshe to make with the people of Isra’el in the land of Mo’av,
God’s covenants cannot be revoked, altered, annulled or replaced by a new covenant. A new covenant can enhance, extend or complement the former covenant but it never replaces the former covenant, Galatians 3:15
The Law and the Promise
Gal 3:15  Brothers, let me make an analogy from everyday life: when someone swears an oath, no one else can set it aside or add to it.
Gal 3:17  Here is what I am saying: the legal part of the Torah, which came into being 430 years later, does not nullify an oath sworn by God, so as to abolish the promise.
Gal 3:22  But instead, the Tanakh shuts up everything under sin; so that what had been promised might be given, on the basis of Yeshua the Messiah’s trusting faithfulness, to those who continue to be trustingly faithful.

Gal 3:27  because as many of you as were immersed into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah, in whom
Gal 3:28  there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one.
Gal 3:29  Also, if you belong to the Messiah, you are seed of Avraham and heirs according to the promise.

The Ki Tavo scriptures identify evil from good. ‘When You Come’ spiritually defines what is to be found on the earth ‘when He comes’.
The word ‘if’ does not begin this parashah. The phrase is ‘when you come’. It WILL happen.
The spiritual application is we WILL come into God’s Kingdom and WHEN we do, what will we find as our inheritance? What happened on earth to Abraham’s family will happen to us. We no longer have to wait and see if God is alive because we have the advantage of seeing how God thinks and acts.
We see Mosche did not cross over because of the sin of pride. He wanted respect from the people and thus made it look like he and Aharon were bringing water out of the rock at Rephidim.
The order of removing the ‘chaos’ around us is to give God the honor in all things…even death…yes, even in judgments.
Are these Scriptures laid out in Ki Tavo applicable for all of us today? YES!
Yes, they are ‘Ancient Words’. And what a blessing to have these ‘Ancient Words’ still available to read today. They are what makes God real and alive today. People say, “How do we know God is real?” “Israel is alive just as God prophesied.”
Israel ‘RETURNED’ to her land in 1948. We can be sure the ‘gates to hell’ are still shaking. It is Israel that is to keep the ‘righteous’ rulings applicable for mankind. They are the new ‘World’s Fair’ on the earth of whom is to display righteous living.
God’s ‘Food for the Soul’ Fair was established first. Shavuot was established with Adam, continues to be seen through Noach and to Abraham. It is lapses then it is brought back with a people once again free to observe it. They were brought out of Egypt to worship…they were brought out of Babylon to worship…according to The Living God’s fair rules.
The Harvest of souls lines up with the earth being a garden that was cultivated. Children and wives go to shows for many reasons. The farmer may desire the prize for the largest pumpkin. The cucumbers in ‘dill’ jar are displayed with the pickles standing straight up.
The stories of deer and rabbits eating off the tomato plants may lead to the display of a different vegetable at The County Fair. The 19th Century Fair was designed to bring humans together instead of being secluded on their acreages.
God’s Great Fair will display souls standing straight up. Two mountains are used as examples of what would happen at God’s Great Fair. The Fair had two tents .. One that said ‘Be Blessed at Mt. Gerazim. One big tent of ‘Cursing’ declared at Mount Evel.
To look at the fruit in these two tents could be seen in the flesh of those displaying their fruit. The righteous had God-fearing white clothes on. The cursing group had bold rainbows as their theme. They were mocking God and His rainbow quote…egging on the ‘fire’ that was prophesied for them.
One tent was crowded with vape air flowing through it. You could see the tent sway from the plant that smelled of the promise of healing. There was more than Marijana involved. The ‘substance’ tent was crowded.
In the Tent of Gerizim blessing, the smell was of olive oil. It had an anointing going up from it. In this tent there was contentment. The contentment booth had its jars clothed in ‘His glory’. This tent appeared to lift off the ground as it’s aroma of prayers were sweet unto ADONAI.
Those In The Tent of Evel had disease.
Rueben stood on Mount Eivel
Deu 23:1  “A man is not to take his father’s wife, thus violating his father’s rights.

Mosche reminds The Tribe of Rueben’s of their father defiling the bed of their grandfather. They were the third generation that could change things. They were to remember the sin, but not give honor to it. This Third Gen chanted, “Not on Our Watch!”

Bilha could not be entered again by her husband, Ya’cov. She had seven children for Ya’cov. Genesis 46:25. Rachel’s handmaid Bilha died a lonely woman with no one to love her. Bilha died soon after Rachel died. These two woman loved Ya’cov but compromised their relationship with God. Ya’cov could only say to Rachel….’take your complaint to God. He is the one in charge of wombs.’ The liar and thief would have to repent before God. Her womb was filled, but Binyamin took her life. He would have ten children himself when moving to Egypt during that famine. His tribe would always fight back and not give in. Perhaps they had the ‘nothing worthy complex’ from his mother dying giving birth to him. And, where was he when his brother Joseph got sold into slavery? They were ten years apart, but still at age 7 couldn’t he have been tagging along on that trip to the brothers?

Deu 27:20  ” ‘A curse on anyone who has sexual relations with his father’s wife, because he has violated his father’s rights.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’

Gen 2:24  This is why a man is to leave his father and mother and stick with his wife, and they are to be one flesh.

Before sin occurred on earth
Gen 2:25  They were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed.

After sinning – It is natural to hide from God?
After sin happens upon us – do we hide from others – not trusting any one ever again?

After finding no human capable of protecting us, our trust MUST be that God can and does love and protect us.

Back at Eternity Fair, we find King Herod beating on the tent walls of Mt. Evel trying to get out. Herod had ordered John the Baptist’s head cut off because John had publically confronted him with the murder of his own brother in order to marry his wife. It was all true. Yet, there was more altering of The Torah needing to be done.

John The Baptiser had the right to call Herod out for his sins. Herod’s sin expounded itself into the next pleasure of his brother’s daughter. He offered his niece up to half of his kingdom.

The Herods were not of Aaronic blood. John The Baptizer and Yeshua were of Aaronic blood line. The Herod men married Aaronic woman to acquire positions within the system.

In 70 AD The Temple was burnt to remove the gold from it’s stones.

Deu 27:21  ” ‘A curse on anyone who has sexual relations with any kind of animal.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:22  ” ‘A curse on anyone who has sexual relations with his sister, no matter whether she is the daughter of his father or of his mother.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:23  ” ‘A curse on anyone who has sexual relations with his mother-in-law.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:24  ” ‘A curse on anyone who secretly attacks a fellow member of the community.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:25  ” ‘A curse on anyone who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’

Deu 27:26  ” ‘A curse on anyone who does not confirm the words of this Torah by putting them into practice.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’

Who violated the words of this Torah? Rueben slipped into his father’s concubine. And, who is listed first to stand on Mount Eival? Yes… Rueben.

Deu 27:13  while these are to stand on Mount `Eival for the curse: Re’uven, Gad, Asher, Z’vulun, Dan and Naftali.

There are 12 stones, 2 mountains, 12 curses when they come to The Land.

It would be wise to investigate the characteristics of these six tribes that stood declaring the cursing. It is more than likely their own tribe was involved in these sins.

Deu 27:12  “These are the ones who are to stand on Mount G’rizim and bless the people after you have crossed the Yarden: Shim`on, Levi, Y’hudah, Yissakhar, Yosef and Binyamin;

Deu 19:13  You are not to pity him. Rather, you must put an end to the shedding of innocent blood in Isra’el. Then things will go well with you.

A Chosen People
Deu 7:1  “Adonai your God is going to bring you into the land you will enter in order to take possession of it, and he will expel many nations ahead of you—the Hitti, Girgashi, Emori, Kena`ani, P’rizi, Hivi and Y’vusi, seven nations bigger and stronger than you.
Deu 7:2  When he does this, when Adonai your God hands them over ahead of you, and you defeat them, you are to destroy them completely! Do not make any covenant with them. Show them no mercy.

Deu 7:3  Don’t intermarry with them—don’t give your daughter to his son, and don’t take his daughter for your son.
Deu 7:4  For he will turn your children away from following me in order to serve other gods. If this happens, the anger of Adonai will flare up against you, and he will quickly destroy you.
Deu 7:5  No, treat them this way: break down their altars, smash their standing-stones to pieces, cut down their sacred poles and burn up their carved images completely.
Deu 7:6  For you are a people set apart as holy for Adonai your God. Adonai your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his own unique treasure.
Deu 7:7  Adonai didn’t set his heart on you or choose you because you numbered more than any other people—on the contrary, you were the fewest of all peoples.
Deu 7:8  Rather, it was because Adonai loved you, and because he wanted to keep the oath which he had sworn to your ancestors, that Adonai brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from a life of slavery under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Deu 7:9  From this you can know that Adonai your God is indeed God, the faithful God, who keeps his covenant and extends grace to those who love him and observe his mitzvot, to a thousand generations.

Deu 6:24  Adonai ordered us to observe all these laws, to fear Adonai our God, always for our own good, so that he might keep us alive, as we are today.
Deu 6:25  It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to obey all these mitzvot before Adonai our God, just as he ordered us to do.’ ”

The instructions at Mount Horev helped to learn how to live righteously.
The instructions at The Moabites were confirmed on two mountains. Eivel and Gerazim.

Deu 7:24  He will hand their kings over to you, and you will wipe out their name from under heaven; none of them will be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them.
Deu 7:25  You are to burn up completely the carved statues of their gods. Don’t be greedy for the silver or gold on them; don’t take it with you, or you will be trapped by it; for it is abhorrent to Adonai your God.
Deu 7:26  Don’t bring something abhorrent into your house, or you will share in the curse that is on it; instead, you are to detest it completely, loathe it utterly; for it is set apart for destruction.

420 pounds of silver, gold, copper were taken back from their previous mingling with the Moabites. It was given to Mosche for The Wilderness Tabernacle.

Deu 7:10  But he repays those who hate him to their face and destroys them. He will not be slow to deal with someone who hates him; he will repay him to his face.

Deu 23:4  “No Amoni or Mo'avi may enter the assembly of Adonai, nor may any of his descendants down to the tenth generation ever enter the assembly of Adonai,  Deu 23:5  because they did not supply you with food and water when you were on the road after leaving Egypt, and because they hired Bilam the son of Bor from P'tor in Aram-Naharayim to put a curse on you.  Deu 23:6  But Adonai your God would not listen to Bilam; rather, Adonai your God turned the curse into a blessing for you; because Adonai your God loved you.

Deu 23:7  So you are never to seek their peace or well being, as long as you live.

These daughters of Lot raped their father. They will never have peace with God. Incest is forbidden.

Esau found favor as did Egypt.

Deu 23:8  “But you are not to detest an Edomi, because he is your brother; and you are not to detest an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

Uncleanness in the Camp
Deu 23:9  The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of Adonai.

It will be the grandchildren that will break free from the sins that happened upon their grandparents. This generation can stop the ‘remembrance’ of evil and push forward to righteous living. It is the ‘grandparents’ that can make a big difference the heritage that follows them.

It will take strength for that THIRD generation to NOT look back at parents and even grandparents and side with them. There will be a large brick wall to climb over. Yet the climb is possible. The old sins that were on the earth without The Torah….without Israel leading out…with the church doing what is right in their own eyes, can be removed. It is that THIRD generation that can walk correctly because they rcognize it is their mountain to claim for righteous living. No more dunkards and incest abounding. Fathers will protect their children by even rejecting a mother still dealing with rejection. A child rejecting her previous rejection is actually healing the mother. That is honoring a parent… to help them not return to the sin of self-pity. The past happened but does not have to be remembered. God heals and protects those that claim His name.

Num 23:7  he made his pronouncement: “Balak, the king of Mo’av, brings me from Aram, from the eastern hills, saying, ‘Come, curse Yaakov for me; come and denounce Isra'el.'  Num 23:8  "How am I to curse those whom God has not cursed? How am I to denounce those whom Adonai has not denounced?  Num 23:9  "From the top of the rocks I see them, from the hills I behold them—yes, a people that will dwell alone and not think itself one of the nations.  Num 23:10  "Who has counted the dust of Yaakov or numbered the ashes of Isra’el? May I die as the righteous die! May my end be like theirs!”

  1. Num 23:11  Balak said to Bil`am, “What have you done to me?! To curse my enemies is why I brought you; and, here, you have totally blessed them!”
  2. Num 23:12  He answered, “Mustn’t I take care to say just what Adonai puts in my mouth?”

It is Adonai’s mouth in ours that speaks. We say nothing of our own. We are a curse to God when we put our words in His mouth. We must not act out what God has not given us to do. The Prophet Bilam wanted to act against God but could not.

Num 23:24  “Here is a people rising up like a lioness; like a lion he rears himself up—he will not lie down till he eats up the prey and drinks the blood of the slain.”
Num 23:25  Balak said to Bilam, "Obviously, you won't curse them. But at least don't bless them!"  Num 23:26  However, Bilam answered Balak, “Didn’t I warn you that I must do everything Adonai says?”
Balaam’s Final Oracle

Num 24:15  So he made his pronouncement: “This is the speech of Bilam, son of Bor; the speech of the man whose eyes have been opened;
Num 24:16  the speech of him who hears God’s words; who knows what Elyon knows, who sees what Shaddai sees, who has fallen, yet has open eyes:  Num 24:17  "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not soon—a star will step forth from Yaakov, a scepter will arise from Isra’el, to crush the corners of Mo’av and destroy all descendants of Shet.
Num 24:18  His enemies will be his possessions—Edom and Seir, possessions. Isra'el will do valiantly,  Num 24:19  From Yaakov will come someone who will rule, and he will destroy what is left of the city.”
Num 24:20  He saw Amalek and made this pronouncement: "First among nations wasAmalek, but destruction will be its end.”

Deu 26:8  and Adonai brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and a stretched-out arm, with great terror, and with signs and wonders.
Deu 26:9  Now he has brought us to this place and given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Deu 26:4  The cohen will take the basket from your hand and put it down in front of the altar of Adonai your God.

A closed basket does not have air flowing through it so the fruit soon molds.
The willow is opened by stripping it.
The wheat is shaken
The olive is crushed
The pomegranate you dig for it’s tiny fruit.

The fruit that comes before The Lord comes after much stress. God brings much terror when his arm stretches out on the earth. Men see signs and wonders realizing God is in control and we have no fear. He is valiantly bringing about His Scepter to rule our earth.

Deu 26:9  Now he has brought us to this place and given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
Deu 26:10  Therefore, as you see, I have now brought the firstfruits of the land which you, Adonai, have given me.’ You are then to put the basket down before Adonai your God, prostrate yourself before Adonai your God,
Deu 26:11  and take joy in all the good that Adonai your God has given you, your household, the Levi and the foreigner living with you.

The spiritual picture shows us as Yeshua’s firstfruits that are sat before God in a prostrated position. All in your household, the priests and foreigners who live on the earth will bow after the crushing has happened. The Third generation of fruit is God’s. The Third Generation can go in…as they have been nourished not only by the parent, but the grandparent. They will be the tithe of the earth.

Deu 26:12  “After you have separated a tenth of the crops yielded in the third year, the year of separating a tenth, and have given it to the Levi, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, so that they can have enough food to satisfy them while staying with you;
Deu 26:13  you are to say, in the presence of Adonai your God, ‘I have rid my house of the things set aside for God and given them to the Levi, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, in keeping with every one of the mitzvot you gave me. I haven’t disobeyed any of your mitzvot or forgotten them.

Those things that have been ‘set aside’ for God was joyously emptied and taken and set before God.

The ‘Third Year’ of the Shemittah cycle is the year of the tithe for Levi, foreigners, orphans widows so we can in the presence of God no one of your mitzvot were disobeyed or forgotten. The Tithe of human (that obey) will be brought to Heaven’s Temple in the Third Year / Day.

Not things for the dead
Not food from mourning
Not when ‘unclean’.

Ask God to bless you from his holy dwelling place from heaven as he blessed our ancestors of whom observed and obeyed with all their heart and all their being.

We are a Unique treasure to Adonai that will rise up above all nations..in praise, reputation and glory to be a holy people for Adonai our God.

Deu 26:19  and that he will raise you high above all the nations he has made, in praise, reputation and glory; and that, as he said, you will be a holy people for Adonai your God.”

Use ‘uncut’ stones to build altar

Mount Ebal Altar – Curses plastered on stone

Deu 27:9  Next Moshe and the cohanim, who are L’vi’im, spoke to all Isra’el. They said, “Be quiet; and listen, Isra’el! Today you have become the people of Adonai your God.

Deu 27:12  “These are the ones who are to stand on Mount G’rizim and bless the people after you have crossed the Yarden: Shim`on, Levi, Y’hudah, Yissakhar, Yosef and Binyamin\

The Blessing by 6 children? Leah’s four children, Rachel’s two children.

Leah had 33 children when moving into Egypt –
Shim’on 6 children – Leah
Levi – 3 children – Leah
Y’hudah – 5 + 2 = 7 children – Leah
Yissakhar – 4 children – Leah

Rachel had 14 children moving to Egypt
Yosef – 2 children
Binyamin – 11 children

Rachel’s firstborn Yosef was moved to ‘First born’ rights after Rueben violated his father marriage bed. Yosef and Binyamin stand on Mountain of Blessing. Rueben is told to stand on the Mountain warning of cursing.

Dan’s name means ‘judge’. All their names are defined by Ya’cov when he recognizes each of them at his death.

Deu 27:13  while these are to stand on Mount `Eival for the curse: Re’uven, Gad, Asher, Z’vulun, Dan and Naftali.

Rueben – 4 children by Leah
Gad – 7 children by Zilpah
Asher – 7 children byZilpah
Z’vulun – 3 children by Leah
Dan – 1 child by Bilhah
Natali – 4 children by Bilhah

Did Re’uven, Gad, Asher, Z’vulun, Dan or Naftali fall into any of these failings?

A tribe representative stands on the appropriate mountain. It is the Levite priests that declare the words.

Deu 27:14  The L’vi’im, speaking loudly, will proclaim to every man of Isra’el:
Deu 27:15  ” ‘A curse on anyone who makes a carved or metal image, something Adonai detests, the handiwork of a craftsman, and sets it up in secret!’ All the people are to respond by saying, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:16  ” ‘A curse on anyone who dishonors his father or mother.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:17  ” ‘A curse on anyone who moves his neighbor’s boundary marker.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:18  ” ‘A curse on anyone who causes a blind person to lose his way on the road.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:19  ” ‘A curse on anyone who interferes with justice for the foreigner, orphan or widow.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’
Deu 27:20  ” ‘A curse on anyone who has sexual relations with his father’s wife, because he has violated his father’s rights.’ All the people are to say, ‘Amen!’

Blessings for Obedience
Deu 28:1  “If you listen closely to what Adonai your God says, observing and obeying all his mitzvot which I am giving you today, Adonai your God will raise you high above all the nations on earth;
Deu 28:2  and all the following blessings will be yours in abundance—if you will do what Adonai your God says:
Deu 28:3  “A blessing on you in the city, and a blessing on you in the countryside.
Deu 28:4  “A blessing on the fruit of your body, the fruit of your land and the fruit of your livestock—the young of your cattle and flocks.
Deu 28:5  “A blessing on your grain-basket and kneading-bowl.
Deu 28:6  “A blessing on you when you go out, and a blessing on you when you come in.
Deu 28:7  “Adonai will cause your enemies attacking you to be defeated before you; they will advance on you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Deu 28:8  “Adonai will order a blessing to be with you in your barns and in everything you undertake; he will bless you in the land Adonai your God is giving you.
Deu 28:9  “Adonai will establish you as a people separated out for himself, as he has sworn to you—if you will observe the mitzvot of Adonai your God and follow his ways.
Deu 28:10  Then all the peoples on earth will see that Adonai’s name, his presence, is with you; so that they will be afraid of you.
Deu 28:11  “Adonai will give you great abundance of good things—of the fruit of your body, the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land in the land Adonai swore to your ancestors to give you.
Deu 28:12  Adonai will open for you his good treasure, the sky, to give your land its rain at the right seasons and to bless everything you undertake. You will lend to many nations and not borrow;
Deu 28:13  Adonai will make you the head and not the tail; and you will be only above, never below—if you will listen to, observe and obey the mitzvot of Adonai your God
Deu 28:14  and not turn away from any of the words I am ordering you today, neither to the right nor to the left, to follow after other gods and serve them.

So many more things to see and say.

My day began with a friend calling me and praying… go back to writing. Look deeper into the numbers is what The LORD was saying to her for me.

I’ll be back. Sadness abounds in my life as God moves to change hurts. In these changes we can push forward and know these Scriptures have fit perfectly for me in my life to understand how to love those who hurt. When we hurt, we seek God.

We can climb over the brick wall and do things we’ve never done before. It’s hard to discipline even a parent because we want to give honor to them. It’s the Third generation that can enter in because they have chosen LIFE to honor God and not someone’s past.

God blesses us because we HONOR His ways…not our ways.

AMEIN
