If there is a prophet among you, I Adonai make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses. ….With him I speak mouth to mouth…. Num 12:6-8
The Eternal One reveals His patterns through the Jewish People. The first Pesach (Passover) festival commemorates the Israelites’ freedom from Egyptian slavery. The Blood of the Passover Lamb protected the firstborn of the Hebrews. Without the blood on the door, the Eternal One slew the Egyptians’ firstborn man and beast. The waters of the Red Sea, which parted to make a pathway to Redemption’ and New Life for the Israelites, collapsed on Pharaoh and his army, sealing their doom in a watery grave.
Fifty days after Passover, Moses and the Israelites arrived at Mt. Sinai for the first Shavuot/Pentecost. When Elohim (Justice) descended Mt. Sinai, His Presence was manifested by thunder, lightning, smoke, sound of the shofar and fire. The people were so stricken with fear they asked Moses to entreat Elohim to speak to him (Moses) so that he could bring the Torah to them. Elohim spoke Mouth to Mouth (Hebrew, pey to pey) to Moses giving him His Torah teachings/instructions. Moses gave the Torah to the Israelites.
Moses the Central Figure of the TaNaKh Receives the Torah, the Father’s Teachings for All People
Of the prophets of the Tanakh, Jewish sages hold there is none equal to Moses. No one ever experienced what Moses received at Mt. Sinai with whom the Eternal One spoke Mouth to Mouth (pey to pey). The Eternal One told His Servant Moses there is One Torah for all people. In other words, His Teachings do not change; they are Eternal and universal.
There shall be one law for the native and for the stranger who sojourns among you. Ex 12:49
You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am Adonai your Elohim. Lev 24:22
You shall have one statute, both for the sojourner and for the native.
There shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before Adonai. One Torah Teaching and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.
Num 9:14; 15:15-16
Prophecy of the Promised Prophet Like Moses
When the Israelites asked Moses to entreat the Eternal One not to speak to them again in the power of His Divine Presence, He replied, ‘They are right in what they have spoken. Just as you desired of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.‘ I will raise up for them a Prophet like you [Moses][Moses] from among their brothers. I will put My words in His mouth, He shall speak to them all that I command Him. Deut. 18:17,16,18. Only the Prophet of Promise, the one like Moses, Yeshua HaMashiach, supersedes that great prophet Moses who received the Torah, Elohim’s Teachings and Instructions Mouth to Mouth at Sinai.
